Smooth Bar & Lounge lives up to its name! A newly opened business to the Concord area is just what was needed to spark the night life. I had a chance to meet the owner (who is a Brooklyn native like me, heyyy). So many great things happening here such as: Hookah, karaoke, open mic & stepping lessons! There was also a live DJ playing various tunes that kept the night young and fun. I heard the Delta's were coming for an event soon (or may have done so at the time of this review). There is a space for events AND the owner shared there will be a cigar area coming soon. This is a very nice space, beautifully decorated. Some were dressed casually while others were dressed up. We stopped by here a few weeks ago because we were on the prowl for a grown n sexy spot for drinks n bites ! They nailed it here I wish it was closer they are located in Concord,NC & is a black owned Restaurant Bar & Lounge with a tasty food menu ! We arrived right at opening so there weren't very many folks inside . Super aesthetic inside so we weren't expecting much with the food but we actually enjoyed our food & drinks ! My only thing is I wish they had more variety on the menu . Far as the entrees there were only two options they had way more appetizers than entrees . This is so perfect for date night. I'm getting a petition started for them to open one closer to Charlotte .

Once I received wind that there was a black owned lounge closeby I had to check it out! I was very excited so I decided to go for my 39th bday. That Friday night we tried to book a table for 6 online ($25 pp to book & it would be applied to the check) however, we were unable to book & were redirected to call. My husband called ALL Saturday and no one ever answered. We decided to have our party still show up Saturday night. My friend got there before us around 7:15 pm. She was advised that they were booked up and that if he could squeeze us in, we would have 1hr - 1.5hr before he would have to attend to his reservations. We arrived by 7:30 pm & were seated. At that time we learned that they were short staffed for the night & that a table is $250 and there is a $400 minimum. Okay, no problem. There is hookah, plenty of options for drinks, but not many options on the menu. The only entrees were 1. A Lamb Chop meal & 2. Rasta Pasta. Then there were maybe 5 appetizers. I can say everything was very tasty, there were no complaints from anyone in our party. The ambiance was very nice, the vibe is definitely mature, yet pretty casual. Once we were leaving around 10pm the DJ was just getting crank up with some slow 90's RnB. With the table cost & minimum my suggestions are a few more menu options and at least a slice of cake for those there to celebrate.

The vibe was amazing! Great food and drinks.The DJ just needs to play the songs longer than 5secs but he was good as well.
