Smokey Que's

Pulled pork was perfect as always, delicious sweet tea that was topped off multiple times, and perfect service with a smile. I have my choice of 3 bbq places every time I come out here and I always choose this one. I love the smoking gun smoker.

First, let's start with the service!!! Amazing!!!! The bbq sauce (sweet) is the runner up!! The slaw was perfect and the portions are just enough to fill you up! I ordered kids meal and was full!

Cute place we stopped at after our visit to Mt Mitchell. Straightforward BBQ with a good sized menu and friendly staff. Our server was polite, and offered suggestions on some items she enjoys, which is very helpful since this was our first time here. We got an order of hush puppies to start. Very good! Next our sandwiches were delicious. My son and I both got the Smokey que sandwich. This was The most tender and flavorful bbq I have ever had! My son really enjoyed his too. My husband tried their chicken sandwich. It is a chopped chicken, so it resembles the chopped pork on our sandwiches. He said it was excellent. Overall great experience. Next time we are in the area, we will be sure to stop in for lunch. This is a great find in a very small town. Keep in mind, they are closed on Monday.

Incredible food. Incredible!!!Literally a random stop for us - small town, time to eat, let's find BBQ and Smokey Que's appeared. We didn't regret a single bite. Pork is their thing, and the pulled pork was very tender and flavorful without being fatty. Bonus points for well seasoned fried okra.

Corn nuggets are awesome. Bbq just ok, but am spoiled from having great bbq growing up in Greenville, NC area. Service excellent. They apparently wrote down on the over-phone order that we wanted some sweet tea but forgot to write down half-gallon. They brought out a cup of tea...BUT, they took it away and brought back a GALLON of sweet tea for the mistake. Good sweet tea too!

Probably the worst barbecue I have ever had the displeasure to experience. I ordered the half rack of ribs, which were "on special" with collards and potato salad. The ribs were way over smoked- the meat on the chine end was cooked to the consistency of wood. The rack had then obviously been held in a steam table for way too long, as the chine bone ends were leached and looked like they had been boiled. The rack was slathered with what tasted like KC Masterpiece or something like that. Not sure why they did that given that they provide a sauce caddy for the table. Probaby to hide what they had done to the ribs. Think waterlogged wood. Uggh. Potato salad made with mustard; not my thing. Collards too finely chopped and were way too sweet. Had no pork in them. Also not my taste. If this is the best bbq in Marion, then Marion has a problem.

WOW! I really love the new location located right next door to the original location! Impressive menu, great tasting food and the staff; Andra and all the others go out of their way to make the dining experience TRUELY FANTASTIC!The salad bar is bang'n with fresh veggies, meats and toppings! I don't live in Marion but I will try to get back as soon as I can! The meats are smoked just the way I like. I had the pulled pork but I also had to have some of their famous wings to take home for later!Cal ahead for take out if you like(828) 652-9800

Very good food, great service and attentive manager. A little spendy, but you get what you pay for. Good portion size too!Was unique being able to eat out on the patio with the dog in tow. He loved the food also!!

Good country food Every thing barque is delicious The new building is a great look and it's in the same location. That's a plus.All was friendly and polite to each person arriving and as they took their orders

got the brisket sandwich which was shredded beef. My first bite I could not chew it, it was like chewing leather. I finally got a to go box and at the checkout I told the lady the brisket was tough but I was going to take it home and chop it up and maybe I would be able to eat it . I left the waitress a tip and the bill was just shy of $20. Chopped the meat with a hand chopper which was difficult. Finally threw it away I couldn't even give it to my dog or cat because I had put bbq sauce on it. So my advice don't get the brisk sandwich and make a $20 mistake like I did.
