Smithfield's Chicken 'N Bar-B-Q

We eat here too much I must admitMy kids love the shrimp basket or shrimp and chicken platter Personally these are hands down some of the best chicken and chicken tenders I like the bar-b-que also. I can't give them a 5/5 CSS heads only because I hate their sauces and I am a HUGE sauce fan (condiments fanatic) and I just can not with their sauces.however their FOOD! Yes

We love it here. We stop by everytime we visit the Charlotte area. Their sweet tea and fried chicken is to die for. My husband loves the pulled pork

Dry pulled pork, half-way-rotten fried chicken, excessively sweet tea, outstanding fresh hush puppies, average service, and extremely nasty potato salad. My family and I could not eat the food. IT WAS THAT BAD!!! Ambiance was decent. Caveat Emptor . . . buyer beware.

I placed an order for the 8 piece Tailgate Special with only French Fries as our side order and a gallon of lemonade. The chicken is fried perfectly and can definitely use more seasonings to make it more flavorful in each bite. The French Fries are sliced very little and thin and they were a bit soggy and not crisp at all. If you are craving chicken and this is nearby I recommend to check them out.

My goodness the customer service was incredible! Super friendly staff from ordering, to getting refills and even clearing off the tables. We all tried a little bit of everything and when we go again we'll all get the tenders because they are huge and so delicious. The tenders dipped in the red sauce is so good. I did try the bbq and fried dark meat chicken which was great with coleslaw (incredible) and hush puppies which were good and great fries. But I'm definitely bringing the family again for the tenders and a refreshing and amazing glass of iced tea. I'm very pleased with cleanliness and environment of restaurant. I'd recommend dining in.

I have to say that the Gentleman that assisted me in a previous order that had a missing item when arrived home was kind enough to refill my entire order at no charge after speaking with him on the phone.. The food is always delicious and the staff and management are kind and considerate always. I believe the gentleman's name was Giattia. Thank you Smithfield Chicken 'N Bar-B-Q!

We came to Smithfield's because the line at another take-out joint was extremely long. I ordered the daily special, two fried thighs with a side of fries. I ate the fries immediately (I was starving) and saved the chicken to eat at home. Well, I wasn't missing much as it had so much fried coating on it that there was a minimal amount of chicken left on the bone. I only ate one of the thighs as I couldn't stomach another. It took about 10 minutes to get our food at the window (there was only one car in front of us) but service was great.

I lived in Raleigh for a few years and there are quite a few of these in that area so I had tried them before.I've been looking for some really good Brunswick Stew so checked this place out.While their Eastern Style BBQ is very good, I can't say the same thing for their Stew.It simply doesn't have the same flavor and thickness of broth.I'm comparing it to Sweet Lews in CLT which has set the bar high. I like they have great service and a drive-thru window.Very large free parking lot.

The best fried chicken around. The chicken breast are huge and super crispy! Never have tried their sea food however!

food was good fries were very yummy but I found one if the those rubber bands the dentist gives you to put on your braces in my food.yuck. it was very very very gross and idk how it got there. the service was decent we had to wait 15 mins to get our food but they gave us pie and pudding as a peace offering lol.
