The best way to describe my experience here is underwhelming. Perhaps it was the class they moved us to (we'd originally signed up for story time art), but what we attended didn't feel any different from arts and crafts we do at home. I wanted my toddler to get an opportunity to socialize with other kids and learn to make something new. Instead what we got were four different parent/self-led arts & crafts stations. The two women there walked around and encouraged the kids with "good jobs", but they didn't actually do anything else. My toddler was still happy at the end and said he had fun, but then again he has fun collecting rocks. Honestly, if this is what their other classes are like, I'm better off using the $35 class fee on my own art materials. I'm bummed because it seemed so awesome to have this place near us.

I co-lead a local Girl Scout troop of 3rd and 4th graders and it was time for the girls to complete their painting and drawing badges. I found Small Hands Big Art online and reached out to the studio through their website. I received an initial timely response from Jennifer who scheduled us on the date that I requested. We were confirmed after paying a deposit and I was so glad they were able to fit us in with less than a month notice. I stopped by the studio before our scheduled date and met Katie who was a delight. Jennifer and Katie led our class and the girls were treated to learning how to draw and paint koalas. The ladies made art fun and the one hour that we had was super organized and efficient. We were allowed to bring grab and go snacks for the end since eating during the activity would take time away from our scheduled time. The girls completed an art activity for their badges and went home with cute artwork and a coupon for future activities. I just learned that they're moving to a larger location and they offer adult classes which I definitely want to look into. Wonderful time for our Girl Scouts!

New to the area, and signed up for a toddler class with a local moms group. It was amazing - totally age-appropriate and managed extremely well. There were two art projects, followed by an open "wall-painting" on different textures with shaving cream paint. My toddler loved it, and I can't wait to take my older two to check it out. Highly recommend!

Just had our daughters 4th Birthday at Small Hands Big Art. She had such an amazing time celebrating with all her friends and creating beautiful pictures. Jenn and staff did an amazing job keeping the little kids attention and making the entire experience fun and exciting. I would highly recommend having a kids party here or even just going for a fun experience. This was for the Fort Mill, SC location. I'm sure the Charlotte location is great as well.

I've just had the best 5 classes over the last five weeks ever! I am enrolled as an adult and gleefully participate with 6 other women who come from all different parts of the world and backgrounds. It's been so much fun to learn about each other's lives while we also learn how to create ART!! So far, I've learned how to make a pinch pot and am studying the art of forming clay on the wheel (so much fun!). Sooooo looking forward to our next class and Karen teaches us how to glaze our creations! I will definitely enroll for the next 6 weeks.

I signed my 3 year old son up for an Art class and when I picked him up an hour later he was ecstatic to show me his creation. The classes here are fantastic, even for a wild 3 year old boy like mine. He really enjoyed creating his artwork. The teachers are warm and welcoming. I highly recommend giving a class a try!
