Skinner's Seafood To Go

A couple of blocks from where I work and over the years, I've be curious but never made it to Skinner till today. Probably one reason was when I pull up my yelp app, it never showed up as close by because it was categorized as Seafood Market as opposed to a Seafood Restaurant. Have since changed that.It is definately a Seafood Restaurant. On the left hand side is the dine in portion and the To Go portion is on the right. Since I was taking it back to my desk, needless to say, I stayed on the To Go side.You walk in and go to the counter and place your order, pay and they give you a number. I ordered the Fried Founder Combo which consists of a Fried Flounder Sandwich which was hugh and generous amount of excellent French Fries along with a drink which in my case was Lemonade. Unfortunately the Lemonade needs more Lemon.The fish on the otherhand was outstanding and as I said, the portions were hugh. A bit of assembly line mentality and rather Spartan but the food is good, service is relatively quick and friendly and it's also a good value

Skinner's is the go to place for fish, burgers, pork chops etc. that is cost effective for a single mother like me the meals are cooked to order which guarantees freshness! The waiting space is fairly small but my children and I always feel so welcomed! Our perch or pork chop sandwiches are always hot and I have never had a complaint which is great considering I'm the type that don't like my different types of food touching.. they never disappoint! we love it and if memory doesn't falter me, I always get tickled at reading this slogan on their wall "cheap is easy but, easy is not good"

I work in the area and decided to try a restaurant that WASNT fast food(so sick of it) and I can't complain it was pretty good! Especially the broccoli and cheese casserole!!

We've been hearing about Skinner's for a while and never made the trip but are sorry after having finally tried it. We have a household of six and it's rare that we all agree and love the food from any one place, but we all absolutely loved it and have been planning our next trip already.

I always look forward to Friday's and Saturday's because Skinner's is the place to get your seafood on the go! If you call in an order, they won't make it til you get there because they want to food to be made fresh! My favorite is their flounder basket!

Skinners offers some of the best seafood in Statesville. Only open on Friday and Saturday, but highly recommend this restaurant.

Very friendly service, and it is nice that they have it set up so that you don't have to go inside. Drink choices are lemonade and tea only. I tried the flounder combo which came with drink, fries, small container of slaw. Sandwich was great, loaded with fish. The batter was very nicely seasoned, I didn't try the tarter sauce because I never do anywhere. They also give you hot sauce. Fries are crinkle cut, lightly seasoned which I usually don't prefer but this was very mild and they were good. The slaw is slightly sweet, went well with the battered fish. Definitely recommend trying this place, I look forward to trying some of the other menu options.

Everything was hot and fresh. Shrimp, flounder and cat fish. Even the French fries, tarter sauce, cocktail sauce and cole slaw was great. Very glad I found this treasure.

Skinner's is my favorite casual Friday or Saturday meal. I drove past it for years without ever stopping...my mistake. The food varies from fish, seafood, chops, or burgers (maybe more; can't remember). My go-to is the catfish sandwich or basket (basket comes with fries but no drink). The fish is fresh, cooked while you wait, hot and delicious. The sandwich has enough fish for two! The tartar sauce is a special blend of goodness; a little spicy. You order at the counter, take a number, and the wait, and while you wait, you make friends in the line or visit with old ones. Good value for the money (can I say cheap here?). There are no broiled options, but if you like good fried fish, try it; you'll like it!

Great food when they are open,but they never answer the phone so can't tell if open or not so,I drove down and nope,happens quite often.
