Skateland Of Kannapolis

Definitely will not be returning. They were overpriced and outdated. The only partially decent thing was the rental skates. Instead of taking just one shoe they took both, leaving us to walk barefoot and our socks getting wet from the carpet. The tables that weren't occupied had food trash or was wet from drinks consumed. The music stopped repeatedly due to the "DJ's" phone ringing or Bluetooth trying to reconnect. The rink floor (if that what you want to call it) was complete TRASH! it was not level and some portions were warped, increasing the likelihood of trips and falls. I was skating backwards and was told to "turn around". I asked why that was, and was told they only allow backwards skate in the middle of the rink or during specific times which are announced. They do offer the pvc skate assistance for $5...I can deal with $2-3 but $5 was a bit much, especially if you have multiple people in your party wanting one. Everyone was asked to clear the floor for a silly game, which was beyond foolish, especially to someone who came to actually skate. This could be a nice rink if they actually invested in it.

Place appears to be very kid friendly. All kids working their way around the rink. Looks like your typical skate rink from back in the day. Nothing but smiles on all the patron faces. Descent little food stand to meet your basic hunger needs, pizza, mozzarella sticks, chicken tenders, etc.

I don't mind an outdated skate rink (for the nostalgia) but this place is extremely dirty. The staff is very young and honestly not helpful or kind at all. There were unattended teens that were rude and acting inappropriately and no one to correct or monitor the skate floor because they are all friends? The actual rink was terrible. The finish on the floor on one side has worn off so I had a ton of trouble skating safely. Bathrooms were super dirty too. Won't be back

This is probably my favorite skating rink. However everyone is rude and nobody keeps the place clean.

I love Frye's Roller Rink way better the teens get or so rude!!!! They need better service but there no the best in town!!

The pot holes in the parking lot should have been a sign to stay away. The carpet taped in several places was another clue. The reason for this negative review is I was given skates that hurt my feet. I could not skate. I took them back to the counter and asked for a refund. The counter person refused. Take my advice and only bring a car that you don't mind hitting pot holes and your own skates. Hopefully the taped and saggy carpet does not trip you.

when I went with my friends they said we where underage so ok we are with our friends aunt but they say "no your parent" but all of the other people had no adults with them? how does that make SENCE like what they where yelling and not giving my. friend space and all up in her face when she was trying to call her mom like who y'all want us to leave and then not let us call our parents y'all make no SENCE don't come her

Skateland is so awesome there like my first time going I had fun cause while I was skating they were playing good songs like some of my favorites. They have arcade games. I recommend it when u have nothing to do in Kannapolis and you're just looking to have a good time I recommend Skateland.

this guy who worked here took my cup that i payed for out of my hand. the disrespect that was shown hurt my heart... can't believe i had to leave a star just to say this 0 stars
