One of my top 3 pizza places in Gaston county! Great sauce very rich and not over seasoned. Service is always great!

It's a strip mall location, so don't expect fancy dining, but the food is surprisingly good and the wait staff is friendly.

I've known about this place in Belmont for another of years but never in the area around lunch of dinner time.Since we moved to Denver NC last summer, it's now somewhat closer so decided to give it a try yesterday.It's only about a 20 to 25 minute drive from Denver via NC Hwy 16 to I-485 for about 5 miles and them I-85 South to the Second Belmont Exit and then South to US-74 and you're there. Sounds like a lot but it really isn't.Couldn't find my mask in my pocket when I got out of the car so went back for it. My wife went ahead and was a already seated when I walked in. In other words, she was seated immediately.It's an Old School Italian Family Restaurant much like you would find in NJ parts of NY City, Western PA and NE OH. Very nice rustic setting. Menu is fairly extensive with something for everyone.My wife ordered water which I went with my traditional Unsweetened Tea.We ordered the Mozzarella Sticks with Marinara Dipping Sauce. the Mozzarella Sticks were delicious but the Marinara Sauce did not have a robust tomato flavor. When the Mozzarella came out, we had to ask for silverware because it had been overlooked when we were seated.]For our entrees, my wife ordered a Philly Cheese Steak Stromboli that was enormous. Too much to anyone including me to eat in one seating.I had the Lasagna and it was delicious as well although the flavor like the Marinara could have been a bit more robust.I like this place and look forward to trying other items on the menu in the near future. Place is awesome. I live in Lake Wylie, SC and I go to Simonetti's, which is 30 mins away and in another state (granted we're near the border!), for pizza. Very good sauce, I assume whole milk mozzarella. This is "football pizza". Nothing fancy. No basil, no fancy ovens from Naples - they put down a pizza stand and paper plates and you go to town. This is a straight up NY/CT/NJ style "pizzeria". My kids love their garlic knots and Penne alla Vodka too.

I visited Belmont to see friends in town. What a cute booming little town. Stopped at Simonetti's for pizza. They did not disappoint. The restaurant was crowded... always a good sign. We ordered a basic cheese pizza...maybe noting yo most but it tells a lot about the restaurants sauce and quality of cheese. Well, the three of us left full and satisfied. The crust was really good...if you like doughy crust you will like theirs. I hope you enjoy as mucus as we did.

Pretty good Italian. Pizza is our fav. Hawaiian and White pizzas are delicious. Small, older place. Clea interior, happy employees.

They don't use fresh ingredients. The mushrooms are canned. Not a quality Italian pizza place. If they used fresh ingredients their pizza would be good.
