The restaurant was clean and inviting. The waitress was very attentive and nice. I had chicken gyro plate. Was very good and tasty! Came with fries and Greek salad. Salad Dressing was wonderful. My sister ordered a Stromboli and hot wings. She was very pleased with her food as well. I brought back a cheeseburger and hot chips for my husband and he said it was all very good!!! I definitely recommend this gem and will be returning!!!

First time there with local friends. Portions are small. Ordered Meatloaf, mashed potatoes with gravy & greens and cornbread . Told the server I wanted lots of gravy on the potatoes and the meat. Got None on the meat and everything was not hot. Meat was mostly fillers and dry. Service was good. No need to go back.

It was absolutely delicious! The owner was so kind and sweet-hearted. I ordered their meat loaf w/ a lot of sides (turnip greens, green beans, mashed potatoes, corn pups, and peach cobbler); my buddy ordered the chicken gyro plate. Both plates were full of delicious filling food.THE PEACH COBBLER IS SO GOOD!

Made my first trip to Silo's today.I was in the Farmer NC area getting some things and was needing a bit of lunch.Silo's is truly off the beaten path.Setting on Old Hwy 49 in a nice country setting Silo's in the background and a nice country view to boot. Now on to lunch.Silo's had a lunch menu posted like so many restaurants do offering Chicken Salad,Meat Loaf,Chicken Livers and a nice selection of vegetables to choose from.I actually chose a Philly Cheese Steak that came with onions peppers lettuce tomato Mayo. And you had a choice of fries or hot chips. And tea to drink. My food came out fairly quick. My cheese steak was great. My only thing was I would never send a sandwich of any kind out with the core of the tomato.Cut it out or put a nicer cut.My fries where the crinkle cut and where hot.Silo's had an extensive menu for a little country spot.Several choice's of burgers from single to double's.Just about anything you would want on one.Pizza, calzones,And subs both hot and cold. And a bit of seafood.Silo's offers breakfast so I guess another trip will be in my future. And my Cheese steak and fries where a lunch special bringing the tab to $7.50 plus my tea.

This is one of those places you have to really be looking for to find it - it is definitely in the country. Clean. tidy littlr place with a drive thru, great service, and pretty ordinary food. You order and pay at the counter, fill your drink cup, and grab a seat. Food is out quickly and brought to your table. The Lexington style barbecue pork is pulled (much like Prissy Polly's in Kernersville), not chopped, and comes out of the kitchen with little, in any, sauce. There is a Lexinton type sauce on the table, and the pork benefits from a healthy dose or two. There is some hint of smokiness, but the Q is basically bland, and I'm not a big fan of pulled pork, especially on a sandwich - the long strands keep overhanging the bun, if not escaping entirely. Overall, only an ordinary version of Lexington barbecue, but then again there is not a lot of good barbecue in Asheboro, period.Cheeseburger is large, with ok taste, but not knock your socks off. The hot dog is simply awful, from the yellowish-tan wiener to the bad chili, which has a strong underlying vinegar taste. They offer other items including fried seafood in the evenings, and also are open for breakfast. The service is great, efficient and friendly.

My husband is from Apex, outside of Raleigh, and I can't tell you how many times in the last six years we have passed the sign for the Silo's and never stopped. We finally rectified the situation on our last trip to see family a few weeks ago and we will not be missing out any longer. The menu is more expansive than I imagined and the restaurant itself is cleaner, cuter and all around a big step up from my expectations. (Other reviews kind of had me thinking this was great BBQ served out of the side of some gas station? Not so!)The restaurant has outdoor seating, a drive through and the cutest little view of surrounding farm fields. We arrived around sunset and it was downright idyllic. The menu also offers much more than I thought it would. I ordered the BBQ salad with ranch dressing. My husband had a BBQ pork platter with red slaw and hush puppies. The sauces here are great and ample. We liked that we could slap on some Eastern sauce alongside the heartier, sweeter Silo's sauce. My salad was fresh as can be and filling. The BBQ is some of the best I have ever had - moist and oh so tender. My husband's red slaw side also was a knockout. I usually prefer a white slaw, but the Silo's is doing something right with their red. We didn't do dessert, but the homemade blackberry ice cream was calling my name. Maybe next time.

Only left one star because you can't leave 0. It was great with the old owners, but the owners now are horrible. They verbally abuse their teenage wait staff. Yelling and cussing at them for no reason. They owner called one waitress who is 16 a "fucking bitch" and told her to "get out of here motherfucker" then refused to speak to her parents afterwords. Probably a good idea, because we would have gotten beaten half to death, which he 1000% deserves! Also the food sucks!
