Visited this brewery recently. It happened to be a brew day, love smelling freshly brewed wort. When we walked in, there were several folks working on pinball machines, seems like they have some sort of tournament on occasion. After we navigated through them and the open machines, I ordered a flight at the bar. Flights come with four pours. In my flight I had "Thomas the dank", "sweet curry sour", "corn field meet", and "Linus van pelt". The hazy was pretty good, the cherry sour was great, the corn-based cream ale was also pretty good, and the peanut butter amber needed more peanut butter powder. Music was a bit loud in terms of ambiance, although good classic rock music...just hard to have a conversation. They appeared to have free popcorn, self served. Parking in the back. Cheers.

We just stopped in while staying in this cute little town and this was our favorite brewery. I tried a lager and a blonde that I liked and it just so happened to be game night so they had a ton of options for us to play with our little one. Lots of seating and tons of other events on their calendar.

Normally when I go to Morganton, I'm at Fonta Flora. I remembered that Sidetracked had opened a year or two ago and decided to give them a try. When you're driving up that hill, slow down and take a right or you'll shoot by it and miss it.This was about a month ago, so I went back to look at my notes from Untapp'd for this visit. The taproom is a bit on the dark side but spacious, and somehow cool and warm at the same time if you know what I mean. I really dig the outdoor space - love the railings, tables, seating and vines = very welcoming! My Flight: Bessemer Process Pale Ale, Knuckle thrower IPA, Railroad Mary Rosemary Pale, Whistleblower Strawberry Sour.I've been drinking mostly IPAs for the past five years (but drinking beer for 30). I like subtlety and complexity when it comes to IPAs- I did not find that component in the lineup that I tasted. Both Pales and the IPA are what I would classify as Hop Bombs - from the stand point that they were so bitter up front that it was hard to get past it. The Strawberry Sour was very good though and very well balanced. The female bartender never asked what I thought when I cashed out and I'm assuming didn't notice that three of my glasses were still half full. I prefer more interactive bartenders who can chat about their beers and ingredients/hop profiles.Judge for yourself and definitely try the Sour if they still have it!

Great little brewery. Went there on a Tuesday night when pints are $3 but the selection was so good and interesting that I got two flights instead. Really great selection. And the beer was even better. I am not a sour guy but the strawberry sour was terrific. Typically I go to Catawba brewery but this place was definitely better beer and very eclectic. Talked at length with owner who was really interesting and down to earth. If you are within 50 miles and like beer definitely worth the detour. I will be back !

Beer was fine, but honestly the slackness of the bartender with keeping his mask on was super disappointing. Even in talking to customers, pouring drinks and cleaning tables he maybe had his mask on a third of the time - most of the time it was on his chin or off completely. Can't give my money to businesses who are this irresponsible when there are other breweries in Morganton who care more about their customers' safety.

Super cute and inviting brewery in Morganton. We decided to hop on Yelp and see if we could find a new spot to check out as is tradition to stop for beer on the way home from our Asheville visits! Sidetracked is very open and the guy behind the bar couldn't have been nicer and or display better customer service. He was helpful in our beer selection and gave us coloring books for our toddler. There's a small room in the back with a ping pong table and seeing as we had the place to ourselves for a short while we enjoyed playing as a family. This will definitely be where we stop from now on! We got a crowler of the girl stout cookie to go and enjoyed it at home. Having a changing table in the bathroom was super awesome and helpful! Clearly a family owned brewery all around. We hope to see some of their beer at our favorite beer place in Winston Salem, The Beer Growler. We could easily see their many unique and delicious flavors doing well on one of The Beer Growlers 40+ taps. See y'all next time!

So I have drank beers at hundreds of craft breweries across North Carolina. Without a doubt the worst beer I have ever drank came from here. Thier IPA had zero bitterness that is associated with a Good IPA. It might as well have been a Budweiser. Except Budweiser isn't $6 for a pint of beef

I love Sidetracked! My friends and I frequently go on Tuesdays aka Pint Night, aka cheapest, tastiest beer in town night. The atmosphere is very casual and friendly. They have two dart boards, board games and a few TVs with sports or movies playing. My favorite beers are the Wiezenbahn, Butterbeer (for all my HP fans), Whistle Blower (rotational sour) and.... a seasonally pickle beer that is so cool and different!!
