I went here multiple nights and always had a good time! I took a few buddies and we enjoyed the atmosphere. Our server was awesome and was very insightful. The food was absolutely incredible, everyone was extremely pleased.Highly recommended the King Cap Steak and a couple old fashions. The steak was cooked to perfection. ‍

Made reservations for 7pm on a Friday, upon recommendation from a local acquaintance. Arrived early, about 6:15, and had a short wait while a table was freed. Hostess was very polite and friendly. We were taken to a table for two near the open service counter, where I could watch the comings and goings. Ordered cocktails, then two sandwiches, which we intended to split. My first double old-fashioned was excellent. As was my wife's whisky sour. The Cuban sandwich was somewhat flat, as the bread had been pressed to almost cracker consistency. The shrimp po-boy was on the other extreme of fluffiness. Both would have been better served by a mama-bear middle ground. My 'southern' Cole slaw was finely chopped to a near gritty consistency, which robbed it of most of the crunch. My wife's garlic green beans were undercooked-- we do better at home. My second old fashioned was much stronger than the first, and not enjoyable. My wife remarked about the noise level, and the inability to relax and converse peacefully. Too much brick and concrete and hard wooden furniture.

Always a tried and true!!! FOOD always on point. Drinks too. DONT MISS out on literally anything from their pastry chef---- creme brulee- to die for!!!

Pedestrian fare..and we chose downstairs because it was supposed to be quieter, however the speaker music was blarblaring and the room looked like a bare basement. Mussels and salad were good, bbut the corned beef and the hushpuppies were awful.Hushpuppies so burnt we sent them back.

What a neat spot. We went here on our staycation. Ordered the chopped bleu cheese salad and the french dip. Service was outstanding, our waitress was so sweet and attentive. Make sure to get the baguette with the tasty butters!

Basically an overpriced Applebees. Service and food. Salad was swimming in dressing, wings were tiny with no flavor. Server was rude to say the least. Will not be returning.

Great dinner spot in a small town. The seating after a certain time is very odd, as they no longer allow a wait list, which I found very confusing. But after driving all day from Orlando, I was willing to wait for a good meal.Pretzels- One of the fluffiest, softest Pretzels I've ever had. The texture was perfect, and so was the flavor. The included cheese had a little punch of beer, which I found lovely.Steak Sandwich - This overall lacked depth of flavor; however, it was cooked well, the meat was tender, and the flavor was good.House made Ginger Beer- This was a real surprise, this had real depth of flavor and was very refreshing.

Not impressed at all. Salad lettuce was not Fresh Cut, probably from a Bag or Box. Kid's Mini Corn Dogs were from the FREEZER The Shrimp Po Boy had less Shredded Lettuce on it than a Chinese Egg Roll has inside it. Their only saving grace were the French Fries. A lot of HYPE but little FOLLOW THROUGH....STAY AWAY

Not quite sure why Shine only has 4 stars. The food here has always been excellent as well as the great and friendly staff. Never had a bad meal and would say everything I have ever had was wonderful. Their shrimp & grits are the best I've had outside New Orleans - I only wish it came with some bread. Their baguette is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The chicken & waffles are perfect. Shine, as well as one of their neighbors are 2 of our favorite restaurants in Hendersonville.

The place is really cute, but the food is prefab, already made and the service was bad!! When you spend a good amount of money you expect fresh!!
