I guess this is salmon right? Is it supposed to be brown and dark pink? It tasted really bad and not fresh at all.

Always great food at Shiki 3. This time we got onion soup and me and my wife shared the steak and chicken teriyaki with mixed vegetables. Good food and fast service.

Service is next to nonexistent.I've eaten several times at other Shiki restaurants, most often at the Broad Street location but also a couple of times at the West Side location before it was bulldozed to make way for a new McDonalds.Had never eaten at this on till today when I decided that since I was in the area, I would give it a chance.Turns out service was "by chance"Walked in about 12:20 and stood around for a minute till someone asked me if I was there for pickup. Answered no and he asked it was a party of one to which I relied yes.Follow me and I quickly got a feel this was not going to turn out well. He sat me in a corner booth away from everyone. One of those places it is easy to forget that someone is over there in the corner.As I was seated he gave me a menu as asked if I knew what I wanted to which I asked if the menu was the same as the Broad Street location. He didn't know so he took my drink order and walked away. 10 minutes later he shows up with my pot of very weak green tea.Yes he menu is the same so I went with the Hibachi Pork with Broccoli. Comes with carrot as a standard side.It's a standard fast lunch item so service is normally very quick.15 minutes later lunch at the check arrives. By this time I'm running out of time so I asked for a to go containerAte what I could over the next 10 minutes but then had to leave. Never did see my server again. As I told the cashier checking out, I'm probably going to regret even leaving a tip" although I did.I hate wasting food but fortunately portions are smaller here than at Broad Street or Mooresville so in the end, I only left half a plate.Outside of the building is nice. Publix just built a store and it's tied into a row of shops including Shiki or outside has been redone and looks nice. Nothing outstanding about the interior although the vinyl on the benches in the booths desperately needs replacement.While the Shiki stores are generally very good, leave this one alone

My husband and I stopped in to eat as we were traveling. We were seated as soon as we arrived. He took our drink order and when he came back i asked for a sushi menu he looked very strangely at me and said he wasn't sure they were ready to do sushi. He came back telling us there was no rice. I asked if they had any sashimi and was told that he changed some things on his menu that he was no longer making. I let it go at that point because I didn't want someone fixing my sushi that was clueless. We got a hibachi meal which was ok but not spectacular. As we are eating we hear the kitchen staff and cooks calling each other m-effers!! **Important to note we were given our check at the same time so we never saw our server at our table again. A couple of minutes later a couple came in and was seated behind us. They asked for a sushi menu. They were told the rice was cooking. They opted to wait and were given sushi menus! Clearly this place has no idea what Customer Service is about or how to properly behave in an establishment like this. If you are thinking of eating here do yourself a favor and think again. Go to Publix deli as it's cheaper and they are much nicer.

So I am giving this 5 stars just because I didn't have a bad experience....I was passing through going back to TN and in TN they don't have any Japanese Express joints...when I lived in the Charlotte area they were everywhere in the surrounding areas (Salisbury, Concord, Statesville, Huntersville, Monroe, etc..)....I always love the vegetables and the carrots are so very sweet!! I loved it because it was/is a quick version to Hibachi Japanese...The meals always comes with fried rice, carrots, and shrimp sauce...if you want soy sauce you have to ask for it...but either way it is good...I got a veggie plate and a salmon plate... Delicious!!!

Called to place a to go order 10 min before closing, someone picked up the phone and said "we are no longer taking orders, we will reopen tomorrow at 11", then immediately hung up the phone. If you actually close at 7:50 then change your hours. At the very least don't be rude and just hang up on customers.

my wife and I had lunch there on12-06-22 service was slow but that ok but I left my jacket on the seat in front of me wen to pay the bill and forgot my jacket few days later remembered where I left it call and talked to the owner he said no one had found it I assume a customer came in bused the table and took it owner was not a very nice person or under standing. I placed a order through door dash and when I got the order it was wrong. The steak which was supposed to be teriyaki was hibachi so no sauce. Then when I contacted the manager he was extremely rude that he personally made the order and it was correct even though I can see and taste it and know it isn't. I would never eat at this restaurant again as it is poor customer service and poor quality food.
