Shell's Kitchen

Shell's kitchen is a Charlotte based food truck that does pop-ups in other cities such as Raleigh, Durham, and Greensboro. On this particular Sunday they were in Durham. The times and days are listed on the business' IG account. To prevent having to wait in a long line to place your order you have the option of placing your order through Door Dash. Once you arrive you can bypass the line and pickup your food. I had to wait a little while for my food to be prepared. I got the hot honey wings with Mac and baked beans with ground turkey. The wings had a little kick. My meal was really good. I also brought a strawberry crunch cake from another business on site that day. We were not a fan of it. I would def support Shells again in the future!

Get your taste buds ready for a soulful weekend experience! It's very rare I get a taste for soul food only because I grew up on it and sometimes it's over kill for me lol . But anytime you're feenin for some good down south cooking and you don't feel like cooking it yourself shells Kitchen food truck is where it's at ! Every Sunday they have something called soul food Sundays from 2-8pm it's worth checking out & the owner is super sweet and bound to greet you with a hug when he sees you , & I call her the cake lady , she also hangs out there selling her delicious desserts !

This food truck was great. The food was flavorful and portion sizes were large. I really enjoyed the shrimp and mac and cheese. I found them on doordash initially and just decided to drive over and order. It didn't take long for my order, and I waited in the car. I'll definitely be back!

Not sure if this is the official page for Shell's, but they definitely deserve more reviews and pictures. Shell's visited the Greensboro area and there was already a big line at opening time so I was excited. The Mac is so cheesy and creamy that I had to skip the fries and get double Mac!! Wings are cooked perfectly. Crispy and juicy at the same time! I ordered the special sauce, but they messed up on my order and tossed the wings in Buffalo sauce. Still yum. Can never go wrong with fried shrimp! The MVP is definitely the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls. They're very popular on the internet so it was fun to finally try them! I will be back for more of these next time Shell's is back in town!

Just looking for something new to try and saw an instagram review of Shell's Kitchen and they were nearby. Shared a plate of wings and shrimp with macaroni and cheese and baked beans, it was delicious! We both wished that we had gotten our own plates. Everyone we encountered was nice and professional. It didn't take long for our food to be prepared. It is a little expensive, but the portions were good.

On Saturday my son and I stood in line for over an hour to get food from @realshellkitchen. My son paid 18.00 for shrimp, chicken, mac n cheese, and green beans. By the time they got to his order they were out of shrimp, mac n cheese, and green beans. They substituted with a half piece of fish no bigger than my pinky. So for 18.00 he got 8 wings, 1 piece of fish and fries. Service was terrible and the young lady taking orders had a major attitude when we asked for an adjustment to the cost, stated, "It's been adjusted", but yet he paid in cash and got no money back. When my son made a complaint on their IG and FB, he was blocked. This is no way to treat customers and one of the main reasons most people won't patronize a black owned establishment. I understand things happen, but as a business owner it's your job to make it right. Not block people when they make a complaint.
