The wings looked great but we'd already had a smorgasbord from the Urban District Food Hall. Instead, this was a stop for a drink and a pleasant time watching people.A very nice selection of beers on tap and the "Korean Donkey" with honey and ginger was a treat.Nice open space and on a warm day with the "garage doors" open, it was pleasant. This is a great spot for food and drink or a meetup![Review 2102 of 2024 - 3771 in North Carolina - 23121 overall]

Outside of the great environment for a social drinking time and drinking food, I wouldn't recommend this place for anyone looking to get some quality tasting Asian food. I've traveled the world and around America and I will say everything here is definitely catered to the American taste buds. Not at all what I was thinking. The wings were under cooked and the lemon rub was a batter instead of a rub. Way too much rub that all I tasted was salt for hours. Didn't finish the three dry rubs. Although the "no return spicy" had some good flavor but still I've had better at Korean wings at the malls franchise. Additionally the tip was not needed. I thought I was going to be served but they told me I'll get a text when it's ready to be picked up by the counter. I did hear they say something about a "purple room" which I did see some of the counter staff bring food to them. I hope the purple room is charged double the rate for tips since dinning in has that 20% tip at checkout.Pork belly was a disappointed. Dry and no flavor at all. They expected the dipping sauce to save the dull flavor. Nope!Lastly I had some of their sushi rolls. I asked if they had wasabi and soy sauce... "Nope." This was when I knew I made a mistake coming to eat here but it was too late since I already paid. Also my side order of white rice had the brown residue from rice left at the bottom of the cooker. Almost $80 for such low quality food was not at all worth the my time traveling through Charlotte. I was expecting way more! If you like to drink and munch on bar food this is the spot for you, if not it's not a dine in restaurant.I threw away almost half the food away. I'm known to take a to go box for the extra food I ordered but this was not worth me asking for a box. Sadly I was hoping so much more when I saw the pork belly show up on Yelp. I don't typically see this kind of food in America but was hoping the pork belly was somewhat close to what I've had overseas and when my mom makes them.

Seoul Food has a mix of pros and cons that made my experience a bit of a rollercoaster. The food was decent, but nothing particularly memorable. What really surprised me was the default tip of 20%--its a bit out of your way to adjust the tip amount and felt unnecessary for a place where you order at the counter and pick up your own food.Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. When my friend accidentally dropped a glass container, it shattered, and the staff remained behind the counter, expecting us to clean it up. That lack of assistance was disappointing and left a negative impression. On a brighter note, the newly added speakeasy is a fun and creative feature, adding a unique touch to the experience. Its location next to Urban District Market is also a plus, especially since it's one of the few spots in Charlotte that stays open late. The karaoke rooms are another great addition, offering a fun way to hang out with friends. While there's room for improvement in service and clarity around tipping, the location and entertainment options make it worth considering for a late-night outing.

Avoid the wings at all costs. Bought 20 wings for nearly $40 thinking they'd be regular sized with great sauces only to bite into one of the worst textural experiences of my life. Just one bite of those saline-injected ostrich wings is enough to turn your stomach. Double if not triple fried massive wet wings that are crunchy on the outside but mushy and squishy on the inside like they've been injected to plump them up. Really nasty. No wing should be the size of a nerf foam football. The original south end location is great, great atmosphere, great ambience and service. But the new plaza location is massive, with rarely anyone there, and the quality of the food is just not there. I've given it a few chances and these wings were my last straw. I just threw them out I could've gagged if I ate another bite.

I only like the soy garlic wings. I've been for a few karaoke parties and it was good. The service was amazing! I like the vibe of the place for both kids and adults. I do get a little confused with how to order. That isn't as clear as I would like it to be. Otherwise, I don't know if I would visit for just the food. It is Korean style chicken. The fun in the karaoke rooms were amazing!

This one is foodie destination worthy! It all hits. And it's worth noting the whole neighborhood is food and drink paradise. We stopped by on a Saturday and tried the tofu, chicken tacos, wings, Ram Mac, fries, and the Kim pap. We had a lot of leftovers. It was all delicious. The wings really stood out to me, I love that Korean fried style and the soy garlic sauce was great. They're big and filling! The tofu was solid. My wife preferred the chicken tacos. Ram mac is like Mac cheese on top of ramen...yep. The fries were really tasty with the chicken. And Kim par bulgogi was a lot like a delicious beef sushi. We'll visit this place often now!

This was my second time going to Seoul Food Meat Company - but it was my first time at the NoDa location. I didn't have anything to eat or drink during this visit, so I can't speak to that. But I can tell you that I had fun. They have private karaoke rooms and that's exactly what we did. We sang our hearts out to a decent selection of songs. I love that you can also find song on YouTube with the lyrics to sing in the rooms. Service was great. We had staff checking on us to see if we needed to order anything throughout our reservation.

This was my first time at the NODA location. The vibe and service are far more casual than the Southend spot. Here, they have counter service and pick-up, a huge indoor space, and really great outdoor seating that's shared with a few other spots. We had the BAF wings- naked, sweet and mild, and spicy BBQ, the green tea cornbread, and the doenjang collard greens. The wings get a chef's kiss, especially the sweet and mild. The cornbread? Good cornbread can be cake-like or bread-like. This was neither. It was dense yet gooey and hard on the outside. The flavor was good but the textures were all confused. For the greens, I don't know what doenang is but it must not taste like much. The greens were bland. I'll do this restaurant again, but I'll be on the hunt for the good sides because I didn't find them this visit.

Had kimchi fries (great), fire chicken (good -- tender for thighs, but no "fire", so could be better), fire chicken bao (okay) and kim chili ramen mac (good). Second time here. This place seems like a fast casual restaurant so in that sense it is priced a little high, but still fairly reasonable. Presentation is minimalist, as is service. Good K-Pop videos add some ambiance. Decent draft beer selection.

Had a Cheat day or maybe a cheat week. Nonetheless got to try Seoul Meat. Al thought not a hit red meat eater I enjoyed the wing but could have been cooked a bit longer. Greens were good and my fav was the boa and taco. Small tasty bits. I was excited about the egg rolls. The taste was there but the Sauce brought it to life. I enjoyed a cocktail and it was a fun open environment. I tasted the bronosourus piece of meat. It was a little fatty but good taste .
