Amazing no matter what you order and the chips and salsa are addictive. Loved it! The steak is especially yummy!

The food was absolutely great ! Best Mexican food I've had in a long time. The menu is a bit overwhelming, but they have lots of choices so give yourself time to look. The service was good. The only reason why I'm giving four stars and not five is because the strawberry margarita I ordered was good but for $15 I expected to taste a little alcohol but I tasted little to none . I am personally a bartender and I couldn't taste the 1.5oz of alcohol at all. But I would definitely recommend the food to friends !! And the ambience was great, it was a very big location and I will definitely be back.

Very extensive menu. Give yourself a few minutes. Not your typical Mexican fare. Looks to be more authentic, and offering more seafood. Want to try octopus tacos? Go here! The chips are homemade and plentiful. We decided on the shrimp tacos gobernador and the pollo chipotle. The shrimp were fresh, the tortillas appeared freshly made, and tacos were stuffed full. The chicken was good but a bit heavy for me, covered in sauce and bacon and served with flour tortillas. Music was a bit loud, but service was friendly and efficient. Overall it was a nice, albeit expensive lunch while passing through Charlotte.

Costa Maya has a large menu, with a focus on seafood. The restaurant is very clean and service is pleasant and unobtrusive. The shrimp enchiladas were delicious and the chips and salsa were tasty. A small but decent wine selection would elevate this restaurant.

I've been to Costa Maya twice now and the place is pretty good! They have a really good selection of food items and the food has yet to disappoint! Seasoned well and plentiful! As far as the drinks are concerned, the margaritas needed a little more help (tasted like a virgin marg), but they tried to fix it with an additional shot. It's helped a little, but I just changed to beer instead. That was good.Both times I've gone, had larger parties (12-25) and it was no issue to seat everyone. Had a great time! The staff is super friendly and helpful and if there are any issues, will address them immediately.Costa Maya is located off WT Harris Blvd/I-85. Very easy to get to and plenty of parking in the lot. Inside is pretty spacious, with a full table/booths seating area on one side, while the other side has a full bar area. They also have live music.Really good spot to grab Mexican food with friends or family! Try them out if you're in the area!

The service was a little slow here. We got ordered queso with our chips and salsa that comes complimentary at the beginning. We didn't get the queso until after all the food got here. The food came one by one, not all at once. I got fajitas and was missing the tortillas.

Tried this place around 2 on a Saturday. They were not busy at all and the place was very clean. Service was quick. Food was fresh, hot, and delicious.

Went in here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. We were told it's the best Mexican food in town. It did not disappoint! After having Zapata's and it being terrible we were iffy with Mexican food. This places delivered the best Mexican seafood I have probably ever had. Mussels, clams, crab, and shrimp all in one dish! So good. Prices weren't too bad. Service was fast! The music inside was super loud but other than that beautiful decor. If you're in Charlotte and love seafood Mexican, it's a must!!

If you see aguachiles on the menu beware you're going to get catfished. My friend and I ordered aguachiles verdes and habanero aguachiles excited to try them. When they arrived, the presentation was wonderful, however the portion is small for the price it's listed. When we tried it, we were appalled as the shrimp tasted like they had been sitting in the refrigerator for 3-4 days waiting for someone to order them. I have made aguachiles fresh in my home and in comparison, the shrimp at this restaurant basically was falling apart when you chewed it and had a weird aftertaste. When my friend asked the waitress when the aguachiles were made she just replied with "they're made fresh" of course we know that but we wanted to know when. Honesty disappointed with the service and food. I will not be coming here again.
