Great little restaurant with a hometown bar and grill kind of feel. They have a pretty decent beer menu with local offerings as well as several domestic and imports. We enjoyed the fried pickles the burger and the Philly cheesesteak. The buffalo chicken sandwich was a grilled sandwich, not a fried one and it was just fair. The fries and sweet potato fries as well as the tater tots were plentiful and delicious. Service was fine. We would come back.

I'm from Tampa and have been visiting Belmont - I've been to Sammy's 3x in less than 2 weeks for so many reasons:- Friendly staff- Great prices- Delicious food (wings are good, but the fried pickle spears are top notch)- Excellent beer selection on draft - and specials!- Easy parking in public lots- Very clean- Events (musical bingo anyone?)- Did I mention great prices? Really solid place to enjoy a night out. This is the type of place I look for when visiting small towns. Good vibes and does not disappoint

Good simple bar food. Had a few appetizers for a quick lunch. The mozzarella sticks were good hot and crispy. Had the chips and salsa. A little below average. I would skip it for another choice. The wings- delicious. Order the Buffalo Mild and they still had a little kick. Service was pretty good for being so busy. Would go back again and also try some other options.

We LOVE Sammy's, and I would say we eat here probably once every two weeks...but the past 3 or 4 trips, the food has gone downhill. Tonight was a really bad night, and if it was my first time here, I wouldn't be back. My kids love, and I mean LOVE the spaghetti and meat sauce here. Tonight my daughter took one bite and said "yuck". I thought it was her being 5, but my bottomless pit 2 year old also didn't eat it. Their plate was watery and the sauce completely lacked its usual flavor, and it was super bland! The pasta was also way over cooked, almost to mush. Then I got one of my favorites, the BLT, and it was, as I said it to my husband, the worst sandwich I ever ate. Some of my bacon was undercooked, over 50% was fat (see picture) and downright chewy. Also, it was so terribly salty, just awful. Usually the bacon is crisp- cooked to perfection, like I rave about this sandwich for people to try. I wanted to get our server to ask about the food (more so the spaghetti because I needed my kids to eat), but she didn't come by until we were ready to throw in the towel on the evening. The restaurant wasn't too full, it was kind of "the pre-dinner" 5pm crowd. I've been hoping our past few experiences have been flukes, but the past few visits have just left me disappointed.

This was the first time for my Family and I and we were really pleased with the service and quality of food. I had the fish and chips and my Wife had the cold plate which consisted of chicken salad, Cole slaw, a hard boiled egg and tomatoes. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you so much for a nice relaxing evening. Makenna was our server and she was very very attentive, respectful and had an excellent attitude!

Let's talk about the good, the Bad,and the Ugly. The Good: local place, great story, part of the community. The club sandwich fills a plate, the tots are crispy ( when they have them). The beer is cold. The bad: The Gluten-free is a bun, that's it, and to add to that they are unable or unwilling to toast more than barely. Dry chicken, random servings sizes of sides, drink refills that take days. The $3 extra protein for a sandwich should be more than a tablespoon of meat. The ugly: service. Slow, ambivalent, uncaring, and a bunch of other words I can't say in polite company. The servers don't want to be there. And they prove it. And did I say slow?We keep coming back as we want to support local, and they keep disappointing. Support local, support this place, just don't be in a rush and lower your service expectations to Bojangles levels.

Bring an appetite! We stopped in for lunch. The portions are gynormous! Easily shareable! The Reuben is out of this world!!! One of the best I've had!!! The Mac-n-cheese with pulled pork on top really lacked salt. And that was coming from my wife who rarely uses salt on anything at all. I tried it and felt it was very bland. I added some salt... wallah... perfect! Very cool lunch spot! The service was excellent! Friends of ours recommended this place. Afterwards they told us they have the best wings in town... maybe next time we visit... we will be back!

The location of Sammy's is great because it's right in front of the park so my son always wants to eat there. When I first moved to this area I really enjoyed Sammy's. I went back today for the first time in a long time and it reminded me on why I stopped going. The pricing compared to the food is not that great. I got a kids meal and just simple bbq sandwich it was 28 bucks for the 2 of us. If the food was good and well presented it would be different. My son's spaghetti was watery and did not look good. The BBQ plate was poorly put together with 2 bottom bun and soggy pickle. The tater tots were pretty good but the pricing isn't worth the food.

Went in tonight Sunday and was very welcoming. I have been here before, just never done a review. I ordered the cheese steak sub and it was delicious. Also had bacon ranch paste as my side which was also great. I will say that all the food I saw coming out of the kitchen was more than a generous serving. Most people had to go boxes. Prices were very reasonable also. Will be returning.
