My husband and I were in the area for a wedding. We pulled up yelp and looked for a hot spot for dinner. We came across Sam Kendall's for dinner. Right off the bat we were met by the manager super nice and quickly sat us himself. You rarely see that anymore and I feel it adds a certain something to your experience knowing the manger or owner is in tuned to his guest. Our waitress Reese absolutely amazing super nice and knowledgeable about the whole menu. We started off with the complimentary bread which was warm and super fragrant. Then the crab-shrimp stuffed mushrooms. Let me tell you they were delicious! My husband is still in awwww over there fancy lemons. My husband had the Kingston steak was cooked absolutely perfect and was like butter in your mouth. Salad came in a chilled bowl so was crisp and delicious. I had the seafood pasta it was full of lobster, shrimp and massive scallops. Super flavorful and delicious. For desert we had crème brûlée. Talk about a great ending to a delicious meal! I have never been somewhere and said wow this was worth my money. Let me tell ya every dime spent here well worth it. Another perk I like that the manager checked on us after the meal. If you haven't been here you need to try it!!

SK was a beacon of light in an otherwise dreary culinary nightmare. After enduring a horrible meal at a nearby restaurant, I looked for somewhere else I could grab dinner on the fly. We were on our way and I ordered my food via phone. When we arrived, I parked in the rear and approached the front, where Michael (aka "Billy"), took very good care of us. I informed him that I ordered a few items over the phone. They have a nice sitting area behind the host podium where we were able to sit and wait. The dining room is beautiful. They have a large bar area with seating, and many booth tables for more intimate dining, as well as standalone tables for people watching and a more casual experience. While we waited, Michael graciously made us some drinks - my dirty martini was amazing. After a bit, Michael returned and said that there was no order in the works for me. It turns out that I accidentally ordered my food from their other location. He contacted them immediately, canceled the order with them and placed my order with this location. I apologized profusely and he assured us that it was no trouble. My food arrived quickly and packaged with care. We were close to where we were staying so it was still warm once we returned.Tomato Basil Crab Bisque - this was so flavorful and creamy. I ordered a bowl and could have had two more. I was hoping for more crab but there was a nice bit of fresh crab meat sitting atop a crouton.Mini Crab Cakes - these are bite-size crab cakes and they come with a jalapeño mustard sauce. The sauce was not my fave but the crab cakes were decent.Dinner Caesar Salad - I ordered this with lobster meat. The salad was OK. I was expecting a really elaborate salad for 20+ dollars. I have definitely had a better dressed ceasar, with thick ribbons of parmesan, housemade dressing with anchovies, and large croutons. This salad resembled more of a side side that they threw some lobster meat on top. I was a little disappointed. Even the lobster meat was quite scant.I'm sure had we dined in, my meal would have better. My family ate here the night before and said their meal was great. They were closing and I literally placed an order minutes before they were closing their kitchen. I'm giving grace because grace was given to me and the customer service and excellent drinks I received from Michael definitely improved this rating.I will definitely ask my sister to bring us back here on our next visit. I want the full experience and hopefully Billy, I mean, Michael, is working that day.

The food is decent, I've had better in Camden. Prices are i consistent... $ 40 for two small crab cakes? Waiter was manically rushing through everything and wore way too much cologne to be working in a restaurant... I had to cut my dinner short as it was affecting my breathing.

Stopped in for a couple drinks while waiting on the florist to finish my brides's flower order. This is a really nice place with a great bar and food. We have eaten here several times and have found the staff and the food 5 star worthy.

Downtown Camden gem. Located on historic Broad Street, this restaurant has one of the best bars in the area. The bartenders are skilled and pour any requested selection well. Wonderful atmosphere and wonderful food.

This is a great date night spot in downtown Camden. My partner suggested it after a recent trip with her girlfriends. Rich wood finishings everywhere and exposed brick at the ample bar and hard wood seating areas. We had the broccoli cheese bites and rare ahi tuna and they were very tasty as well as perfect for sharing. But we were really there for the champagne menu. The Wild Horse Wedding Sparkling Wine I wanted was out so the owner upgraded us two to bottles of Tattinger's which we gleefully accepted. Our server was very nice and knew lots about the menu. We will absolutely be back the next weekend we head to Camden for antiques.

OMG, what could go wrong at Sam Kendall's? Nothing. Ever. Arrived very early (4:30 for drinks), then ordered Shrimp and Grits b/c the byline was 'a different take' on the classic menu item. It was truly a great dish. Wish I had made a pic. My husband made the Oysters Florentine his meal and he raved about it. The service was spot on. Always there in a timely manner. Cordial. This restaurant has one of the most beautiful bars in restaurantdom, really beautiful! We have eaten at S K's many times over the years. It somehow maintains its ole time class and amazing food. Wish it were a little closer to our home!

We stopped here to get a breather and be able to eat outdoors. After we toured the Battle of Camden site we were famished. The ribs melted from the bone but the sauce I felt was just added onto the meat at the last minute versus being cooked with Barbeque. The server and staff were very friendly and we sat outside. When we looked inside this place looked amazing. It had comfortable looking booths and it was lit well to set the mood for a nice dining experience.
