Sakura Japanese Ramen

Interesting they have both Japanese and Vietnamese food. Ordered Tonkotsu ramen, Mayu ramen, pork dumplings, and Tokoyaki. Took advantage of the lunch special to get a free small milk tea. (From 11 AM to 2 PM every day, every entrée ordered with an appetizer or a dessert comes with a free small milk tea or sweet tea).The Tonkotsu Roman isn't like the typical ones I've had, not as creamy or deeply flavored. It was more like a home-cooked soup. My partner liked the Mayu ramen, whereas, I thought it was OK. It was like a woody flavored Ramen. The Tokoyaki wasn't for me-too mushy inside. The dumplings were good, had some cellophane noodles inside. The milk tea was OK. They were able to make it less sweet for me at request.The best part was the complementary Chinese guava hard candies, located at the cashier. They seemed short staffed, but they we're bustling like no other. The guy that helped us, not sure if he was the owner, was nice to us. It's nice looking inside with the decorations/ paper lanterns. Limited high chairs are available.

The spicy pork Ramen is not for the faint of heart. Absolutely delicious and perfectly seasoned. Service was prompt. Food preparation was fast ingredients are fresh no MSG. Definitely will be back.

The first time I tried this place I had no idea what I was doing. I had never had bubble tea, and I got my ramen to go. Mistake. The gentleman there was so enthusiastic that I felt a bit of pressure and didn't want to go back. My friend wanted to go for lunch and I decided to give it another try. We ate there, I got a watermelon milk tea, a banh mi sandwich and tried some of her ramen. I am so glad I went back!I loved the tea, I was not sure how it would be but decided I was so hot and I was willing to take a chance. I would get it every time. Well maybe a bit too much sugar, but every time I can have sugar I will get it. The sandwich was great after I took off the jalapeno. Wish I would have realized it was there before the first bite. That had so serious heat to it. After I took that off and could actually taste it, the flavors came together so well. The ramen was good. I have been spoiled with some excellent ramen living in bigger cities, so my standards are high.As always I do wish there were more vegetarian options without mushrooms and with flavor. That being said this was good and I would go there again.

Ate here this evening with family. Had the Shoyu, Spicy Ramen, Steak Ramen and a couple appetizers. I've been to high quality ramen restaurants in larger cities, and for a small town, this was pretty decent.We enjoyed the Shoyu and Spicy Ramen, but we don't recommend the steak (also the priciest at $17.99).Had the green tea and the magic mocha milk tea as well...also recommend!I do wish they had other offerings, like Banh-mi, but it's a ramen place. There are a couple rice dishes and some other apps I'd like to try.The restaurant was very nice, and servers were helpful.We would likely return.

I went with my daughter for the first time to eat there. I've picked up many orders to deliver for Door Dash so I've been inside and have smelled all of the amazing food served there! Walking in we are greeted and drinks are order while walking to the table. Server is very welcoming and brings to the table our drinks and two menus and explains one is Japanese and the other is Vietnamese, he says take your time and enjoy f you have any questions give him a call over. There are so many choices between the two menus I was wanting most of the items on it. We both decided on the stir fried ramen mine with shrimp and hers was beef! It was so good! I've never spilled a drink at a table that I can remember but I did and it went all in my plate (I was embarrassed) the server came over immediately and cleaned it up and went to the kitchen and remade the entire plate. That's why I tell you the care and service there is EXCELLENT !! This food is so flavorful and hot that steam was coming off of it! The seating is cozy and comfortable from 2 to a table to a large party sized table! If you live in or are traveling through Marion NC off Exit 81 Westbound Interstate 40 stop and give it a try! YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!

Had the tonkotsu and my daughter had the mayu ramen. The tonkotsu was super bland, the broth lacked the signature porkiness of a great pork bone broth and was quite thin, the noodles were definitely overcooked. I had to add lots of soy sauce to make it bearable. The chashu was also lacking in flavor. My daughter's Mayu ramen broth tasted a bit sweet, which is a weird flavor for ramen. My wife had vietnamese grilled pork and that was definitely better than their ramen. I hope they improve the taste of their ramen!

Omygahhhh I diddnt even know we gotta ramen spot over here in Marion waaaat! Holy heck yes dang sign me up I'mmabouta be here all the tiem now the spicy ramen bowl was purrrfectly spicy level spicy and super rich and nourishing I been dang sick for like 3 days with a cold no I didnt take no cova test lol why would I do that gtfo but yeah dang this bowl o ramen got me all like boom bow whap boom bow yeaaaaah feelin good yo I'mma go climb a mountain now byyyeeeOooh also top tier chopsticks here for sure

I don't understand why this place isn't more busy. It has it all, friendly service, freshly prepared food with fresh ingredients, and good atmosphere. The grilled chicken Banhmi was excellent, especially dipped in the recommended sauce. The spring rolls were light , tasty, and refreshing . Please check out this different place to eat .

The steak ramen soup was phenomenal. The broth was especially tasty. Service was absolutely great from the moment we walked in. Located in a strip mall, the ambiance was ok. The food and service made up for any lack in at atmosphere.

***NOT VEGETARIAN SAFE***If you eat meat, should be a great place. If you don't eat meat- you can't trust this place. I found pork in the veggie spring rolls. Guess it's my fault for not asking but the list of ingredients only said "seasoned vegetables" Who knew pork was considered a vegetable or a seasoning but my bad for not seeking clarification before I ordered.
