Really enjoy the food. They have fresh ingredients and they cook to order. Really good tastes and well cooked. I will NEVER eat at their establishment. I always do take out. If you are not a regular you will feel unwelcome. I have been inside 2 times and both times were treated rudely. I was ignored for 15 minutes while my husband was helped immediately. The feeling is not welcoming but their food is good.

Nestled right in the heart of downtown Thomasville is a small locally owned grill. It's just a simple, small building surrounded by a gravel parking lot, nothing too fancy. Don't let the size and simplicity fool you, because big things come in small packages and they are an absolute gem of a restaurant. It can be a little cramped first getting into the door, but pick a seat around the winding bar and you'll soon feel right at home. The bar features a unique backwards L shape with old fashioned stools setup around the outer edges and the inside of the L presents the aisle for the waitress to serve the customers. It's quite a small but cozy place to just sit down, join in on the local chats for the day, and satisfy your taste buds. The owner is usually right there in the kitchen, grilling up just about anything you're craving and if I'm not mistaken, her mother is the usual waitress. Personally, I would say that they have the best burgers and crinkle cuts in town. You seriously can never go wrong with their burgers! Don't forget to pair it with a cup of southern style sweet tea. For a quick lighter lunch, my go-to would be the Chicken Salad Sandwich. It's one of the few places around that you can get chicken salad that's fresh and without all the extra additives that pull away from the classic original recipe. If you've left a little room after lunch, they offer daily specials on homemade desserts so be sure to check out the board up front. When you're ready to pay, someone will gladly help you at the cash register by the entrance, but make sure you have cash. Should you forget, no biggie, there is a Cash Points ATM next door that's got you covered!

A mom & pop grill in the strictest sense of the words - serves breakfast, lunch sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, and very little else - no dinner hours. This is a tiny, well used place with all seating at the elongated counter inside, and a couple of small iron tables outside. There is a rambling gravel parking area that runs along both sides and the back of the restaurant. We ordered a Cheeseburger ($3.60), a couple of Hot Dogs ($1.99 each), and an order of FFs ($1.85). The Cheesburger was very nice, tasty and had good size to it. The Hot Dogs were also good, actually very good. The wiener was decent, the bun nicely toasted, and the chili just missed being great - a touch too much tomato, and not enough zip - a little Texas Pete & a dash of salt moved it up several notches. The FFs were surprisingly good. They are the rectangular, ridged ones, but these were fried very well so that there was a nice crispness to the outside, but soft and tasty inside - few places serve this type of FF this well. The folks here are friendly, laid back but efficient. While I wouldn't label this a destination spot for burgers or dogs, I certainly would not hesitate to stop in, if in the area.

Very basic basic mom and pop counter diner. Unfortunately the coffee was so weak I could see the bottom of the cup. Biscuits and gravy pretty ordinary

Best hamburger in the area. Clean, cute and priced well! The waitress is precious! I will be back again and again. Onion rings are also out of this world.

Simply the best burger in Thomasville! My family loves to eat here! They also have chicken sandwiches, stews and soups, and other types of sandwiches. Never had a bad meal here and the service is always excellent! Open for breakfast and lunch only.

Located in the middle of downtown Thomasville, a place that may carry you back to halcyon days of decades ago, the S & S Grill is WELL worth a visit. They hand patty their burgers, and mine was served hot and tasted delicious. The crinkle fries were perfect, and the sweet tea was outstanding--truly southern sweet tea. The place was abuzz with activity and had only one server, but she was kind, prompt, and attentive. Interesting seating arrangement--an L shape where you are looking across at other patrons--but it adds a uniquely homey touch. I did get to observe from this vantage point that some of the burgers, such as all-the-way or the pimiento cheese burger can be a bit messy. But I think that may be part of the fun. You may even get to see a passenger or freight train come thundering by, for the railroad tracks are just yards away. In sum: excellent grill food served by genuine, nice people in a picturesque setting.

You are not gonna find a better hotdog in North Carolina!! the burgers they hand patty out are second to none. when its cold outside they always have a pot of soup on the stove and on Thursdays I bet it will be chicken stew. My girlfriend loves the chicken salad sandwich. but the one thing that I love more than anything is the Sweet Tea, you will not find a better glass anywhere.
