This place is amazing! The food was excellent.From the time we entered customer service was good. We initially was seated in the back by kitchen and bathrooms, but we immediately asked to be reseated.They serve Mimosas- I was driving an hour away, so I did not have one. My friend did and she enjoyed it. They offer Mimosa flights as well. We ordered the Fried Tomatoes with the Bacon Jelly---- this was the best I've ever, ever had!I enjoyed the Veggi Breakfast Tacos and Potatoes with a side of Candy Bacon and a cup of coffee. Everything was soooooooo good even the coffee ( with limited sugar and cream) just good.Friend #1: enjoyed Mimosa and Shrimp and Grits. Just the right portion with biscuit. Very flavorful.Friend #2: enjoyed the BYO omelette, with potatoes and biscuit! She stated it was very good.This was truly a good breakfast/brunch spot- coming from a BOUGIE EATER.Dress: very casual Ambiance: Relaxed, diner feel almost like family owned spot- but not Clean and opened - not crowded

Love seeing the Ruby sunshine and Ruby, slipper Collab in Charlotte! As a person who used to live in New Orleans, this was always a nice spot to have breakfast. So I was very excited to try on my visit to Charlotte. There's plenty of space to sit in the restaurant and lots of beautiful decor around. When the weather gets better, there's also a patio for dining outside.Definitely get on the waitlist in advance because this was a busy spot on a Saturday morning. Our server was friendly and very fast with our meal and getting our order. I do wish there were more options for non-meat eaters, especially protein based options. I had the French toast with breakfast potatoes, and a fruit cup. Everything was just OK. I think the potatoes were seasoned nicely and you got a good portion. The French toast didn't have much flavor to it beyond putting the syrup on there so I wish there was a little bit more to the dish. I did really enjoy my boozey coffee drink. It was very subtle, but just enough!Overall it was a good dining experience and I'm happy we got to stop by on our trip.

I visited this spot with my mom on Sunday 01/05/2025. I ordered the vegetarian breakfast tacos with potatoes and the ruby slipper mimosa! My mom had the omelet with the blueberry lavender mimosa. Everything was GREAT! Customer service, the food, spacious seating. There is street parking. And I must suggest NOT parking in the lot behind the restaurant because they tow.

Came out for a lunch-time visit. We found free 2-hour parking right across the street. Once inside, we were greeted and seated pretty quickly. Luckily, they weren't too busy during our visit. I started with Vanilla Spiced Latte and really enjoyed it. For my meal, I tried the popular Sweet Heat Chicken & French toast bites. The food was pretty good. The french toast bites weren't very warmThe chicken was nice, crispy, and delicious. The Applewood bacon was perfect. Our server provided great service. She was friendly and gave great recommendations. The bathrooms could use a little attention & maintenance, but weren't too bad. We would come again for another visit.

Just had the most insanely good hot honey and French toast bites -- perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy inside, and served piping hot . I added a light drizzle of syrup, but honestly... they didn't even need it. The flavor balance was already chef's kiss .Came in about an hour before closing, and my server Tasha was an absolute gem -- super sweet, patient, and made sure I never felt rushed. Love when great food and great service come together like that!

Ruby Sunshine is quickly becoming my go-to brunch spot. As expected, it was busy, but the service was excellent, and the food was delicious. I made the mistake of not adding my name to the waitlist before arriving, which led to a 30-minute wait--but it was absolutely worth it. I won't make that mistake again! We enjoyed the Chicken St. Charles and breakfast tacos, paired with the in-flight mimosas. Everything was on point, and I can't wait to come back!

Such a great experience! I was in town for the Southern Christmas Show with friends and wanted to get brunch. It was super easy to make a reservation which was great. When we arrived, there was tons of free parking right outside (always nice when you're a newbie in the area!), and we were immediately seated when we arrived. Everything on the menu looked amazing- it was honestly so hard to make any choices because we all wanted everything! The seasonal specials looked amazing so we had the Mint Chocolate Beignets to share- soooo tasty and more than enough for our group of 5! One friend ordered the eggnog pancakes which were a hit for the entire table! I had the blueberry lavender mimosa which was so tasty and HUGE! I also enjoyed the Peacemaker- I love egg benedict, there are several that all looked fantastic, and I loved that I could try two different varieties in one meal! Absolutely perfect for the foodie indecisive people like me! Another friend had regular pancakes which were also huge and fluffy. Basically, I cannot wait to come back to town to try more of the items on the menu. So fantastic!!!

Had brunch here and forgot to check in darn it!! The appetizers, coffee drinks and main dishes were all delicious!! Large portions so if you order appetizers, even to share with party of four, it will mean your getting a doggy bag. We had loaded tater tots, fried green tomatoes, the trifecta, biscuits and gravy, and migas. Everyone in our party loved what they ordered and would recommend each dish!

Cocktails delicious! Food out in less than 30 minutes with a crowded space is great. The food was great and how righteous Tasha was out waitress and Host were nice!

I enjoyed this restaurant. I got the sweet chicken and French toast. I really love the flavor and the outside crispiness of the chicken. I have to say I wish the waffle was softer, it seemed like it was fried and I didn't really like that. I also got a spiked coffee, which was pretty good. The food didn't take too long to come out even though it was a busy day for brunch. It was a nice size restaurant and can hold a lot of people.
