Royal Biryani

Wonderful lunch! Chicken tikka kabobs and salad with Masala ChaiIt pains me to hear of friends who never try the most amazing foods from different cultures. There are so many here in Charlotte, NC.

They could have done better on the tikka masala and the rice was hard and crunchy seemed like they rushed my food together

So far, I've only tried their Butter Chicken with the garlic naan and Chicken Biryani. Both dishes were INCREDIBLE! My boyfriend and I didn't speak a word while we were eating, which is incredibly rare and says a lot. Plus, the portions are huge! Absolutely worth the price and will be going back to try more!*Note: I gave this 4/5 stars because of their most recent health score (91/100, their lowest score yet). Sanitation is incredibly important to me and I want to feel like I can trust to restaurant and staff to provide clean utensils and properly stored food. If the score was 89 and below, I would have rated lower and probably not want to go back.

The spicier you want something, the more $ they charge. Very strange concept- never heard of it this before. $2 to increase spice level is so odd

we ordered three entrees, they were all fine but nothing great. Naan was also acceptable. This is not a place a recommend unless you just can't find any other good Indian restaurants.

A local eatery with flair. But food servings were heavy on rice and lite on protein. Inside is clean and orderly. Parking is ample. Service was acceptable- but eccentric. Glad we tried it but would likely choose another option next time.

We've just recently moved to Charlotte and have been on the hunt to find our new go to restaurants. We used to live right around the corner from the best, most authentic Indian place in Buffalo.. finding that replacement here has been challenging ...Until now !! We tried a bunch of things on the menu and everything was great!! Samosas, gobi, garlic naan, biryani, tikka masala, malai kofta, and vindaloo...It's a small spot, so seating is tight- it was packed when we went and there was always a line for pick-up... so you know it's good!! Definitely recommend!

We've eaten here 3 times and each time it has been excellent! Great service, and outstanding food.

First time eating here...naan was very good, samosa was very good...about 4 bites into the tikka masala found very thick black hair. Disappointed to say the least.

Honestly we had no expectations going in, The restaurant itself was quite small but man what an experience ! I've not had Indian food in quite a while, but this reminded me of why I love it so much. The cauliflower appetizer was to die for and the main course - lamb biryani was amazing. And portions were very generous. We will definitely be back.
