Rowdy's Café

This small spot is a total hole-in-the-wall Southern diner with about 10 small tables and a few chairs at the counter, and an air conditioner in a window. This a locals hangout where everybody knew everybody else, except me of course.They have a small menu with 12 to 15 meat and 2 plates, a daily special or two, wings, burgers, sandwiches, and a few salad choices. I ordered a double cheeseburger and a hot dog with mustard chili and onions.The hot dog was pretty good, the chili was only a touch sweet, nice bun, and a decent wiener. The burger was huge and was $8.49, and was flavorful.Not a bad drop in place if you happen to be traveling between Yadkinville and Mocksville.Ambiance - 1.5Food - 4Service - 4Value - 4

Born and raised in the south, so nothing makes me happy than to visit a family oriented restaurant with home cooking and amazing food!Rowdy's is sooooooo good. You walk in and you feel "at home" immediately. The staff is warm and caring and so nice. The menu is so loaded with options that I now have to come back about 10-15 more times to make sure I try it all. Today I tried the 16 (yes SIXTEEN) once hamburger steak with fried squash and Mac & cheese. It was delicious and I absolutely loved every bit of it. My only regret is that 16 ounce steak is a LOT. They have an 8oz option which I probably should have gotten. I'll be back for sure and if you're anywhere near Yadkinville, NC this is a MUST STOP for you!

We met friends here for lunch. It was my first time here. It's a small quaint cafe on 601 about 3 miles south of Hwy 421. They offer a good selection of breakfast and lunch options. The waitress was very sweet and helpful. I had the patty melt, my friends ordered hot dogs and burgers with fries. The hot dogs looked great and my patty melt was very basic but I enjoyed it. My friends ordered peach cobbler, which looked amazing but one of my friends is a former restaurant owner and her comments were less than positive about it. Since I didn't try it I can't say anything other than it looked awesome but no one ate the crust...if that helps. The cafe was quite busy while we were there so it must be a popular diner. It's truly out in the middle of nowhere but easy to find. I enjoyed my time there and can't say enough about how great the staff was. Also, the ladies room was very clean.

Sometimes they really try my patience, was coming through Courtney late this evening, stopped to get a bite at a little restaurant called Rowdies, ordered a foot-long hotdog, and the waitress brings it to the table, so help me God, they had taken a foot-long weenie, and cut it in half lengthwise, dropped it in a bun with mustard chili slaw and onions, i'm like what is going on here, the waitress explains it that's just how they do them there, I send the plate back, I'm done, she comes back and tries to explain it again, Tells me I can get the whole weenie for an extra two dollars, I said I'm done, comes back again and offers to give me the regular hotdog for the same price, I said I'm done, You just can't make this up!,Update, I've been harassed all day by the owner and staff from this restaurant on Facebook , had threats and lies told on me, unbelievable, regret ever stopping there, what a headache, if it continues I may have to get the police involved,

Great food. Fast service. Very friendly staff. Would visit again when driving down the "back roads". Rowdy does NOT describe the ambiance - it was nice and quiet :)

Ok, it may be a hole in the wall but sanitation standards this is one of the best! Also the salt and pepper catfish sandwiches are BOMB I didn't like the bread they were served on but the food is delicious and it's a clean spot

Terrific food, great waitress! Her name was Lacie, couldn't ask for a better server, gorgeous too! Will be back!

It was amazing. A little. Road side Cafe. The food was great. I had the meat loaf and my wife had the country fried steak. She said it was the best she has ever had. Too bad i didn't live near this place but every time I am in the area, I will stop and eat.

Just ordered a cheeseburger from there and found a hair in it and then I take it back and got another one and then found another hair in it and then called over there and they act like they didn't give a damn

If you are looking for that hole in the wall restaurant with good home cooking then this is your place. Their club is the best!
