Lovely ambiance with very good food. I had the halibut and a baby lettuce salad. Both were excellent. The salad was not overdressed with the dressing. The halibut was perfectly cooked and beautifully complemented by the saffron sauce.Service was excellent, friendly, but not obtrusive.

Absolutely delicious, pricey, but delicious for sure! Stephanie was our server and she was so fun and knowledgeable! So what did we eat?! We started with an old fashion which was really good! They muddled the orange peel and cherry just a little bit- it was perfect. Also tried the orange crush. I could have drank a pitcher of them! It was sweet but not overly sweet. Had fresh orange peel and a bit of spice to it. I will definitely be craving these!THE BRUSSELS SPROUTs!! Even if you don't like them- I swear these will convert you lol no lie I wanted to order another plate of them. The but of char with the perfect amount of seasoning and a drizzle of goddess dressing. Honestly I can't love them more! We also indulged in the grilled shrimp, beef short rib, and Au gratin potatoes. The only BAD thing I can even come up with, is that I wanted larger portion of the short rib for the price, but mainly because it was the best short rib I've ever had. The au gratin was creamy and light with just the perfect amount of browned cheese on top. Starving just thinking about it all. But that wasn't all- I couldn't leave without dessert. The chocolate torte w butter pecan gelato was the perfect balance to the whole night. The torte was sweet and creamy. Not too dense. The gelatos really balanced out the chocolate - true compliment to each other!

I've walked past here countless times, and after watching us win against the Bucks at the Spectrum Center, figured I'd stop by and have a meal. I'm glad I know my intuition and I waited to come here, because I had a hunch it wasn't going to be that amazing. It's good, don't get me wrong, but it's not mind-blowing or amazing, at least not for dinner. I'd maybe step in for lunch instead going forward, if I return. We sat on the second floor at the bar. Steven was our waiter. I was expecting a general, how the menu works, tell me the specials, tell me your favorite dish and drink. Steven proceeded to read off the menu, word for word, bar for bar. It wasn't necessarily a read along, but he made commentary about every single item in order. An entire 2-3.5 minutes had passed and I had to interject after particular question was proposed to myself and the person I was with regarding an item off the menu. Other than that Steven was awesome. He touched the table a few times, checked in about the food, drinks and dessert.I got the short rib, I really should have just gotten the duck, because it was just okay to me. I paired it with the sweet potatoes. I got the IF YOU LIKE KIWI COLADAS drink, also okay. They had a pumpkin mascarpone pie that I ordered as well. The vibe reminded me of a NYC/DC/Chicago vibe. I thoroughly enjoy an open kitchen concept. I personally think it helps consumers appreciate the kitchen staff more.Principally, if I give a restaurant three stars it's normally because I've had a similar meal elsewhere at a comparable or equivalent price point, and it wasn't as satisfactory.

Three of us went here for lunch Sunday. We ordered:1. The hamburger...which came with lettuce, tomato and onion along with fries. It was stacked high with a thick tomato, lots of lettuce and came with a small bowl of mustard and ketchup. Our friend ordered a side of ranch dressing to dip her fries in. She said the burger was good, but for $20 it should have been!2. I ordered Fish and Chips. I asked the waiter what type of fish it was and he said Tile Fish with a nice light batter. I see the menu says Mahi with IPA batter. I got four small filets that were very tasty and the batter was good. The fries weren't anything special, but the fish was good. Price was $24 which I thought was a bit high.3. My wife ordered the Garden Salad with Salmon. She said the salad wasn't a large salad but it was ok...the champagne dressing was good, not great. The Salmon was very moist and cooked perfectly. All in all, our experience was good. The waiter was good and knew the menu and was prompt in serving us. We thought the price was a bit high for what we got. I doubt if we would go back with so many other competitive restaurants around South Park.

The place is very well located, just one block from the Spectrum Center, perfect for eating before or after the game. I found the space to be very interesting and beautiful, with impeccable and unique service. The kitchen is open to the public and right in the center of the restaurant, which allows you to have some entertainment while you eat. We ordered two meat dishes that were delicious. We went with our baby sleeping in the stroller and they were very kind to help us get to the building's elevator (which is a bit of a maze, by the way) so we could get to the restaurant floor.

First time at Roosters and it did not disappoint. The food and service were amazing!!! I loved the vibe the music wasn't over powering. This place would be great for a date night or a catch up with friends. I cannot wait to go back and try something new on the menu!

Just a quick trip to Charlotte and looking for good reviews in the uptown area. We enjoyed a nice lunch with a capable server and solid food. The dining room has a warm and cozy feel.I would go back again by I think I would have a better experience here for dinner. They also have an enclosed courtyard.

The food was good. We really liked the corn and the calamari! The pizza was a bit doughy for me but otherwise everything was really yummy. Service was quick and the place decorated nicely for Christmas! They have validated parking too if u need a parking spot.

I saw this place when I pulled up a Google Map of Downtown Charlotte. Listed at 4/5, the wife and I wanted to give it a try. It was a brief 15 min walk from our South Downtown hotel location. We almost walk passed it - I'm glad we didn't. We started with a beer and a glass of champagne. Then we had the smoked 1/4 chicken, onion rings and fries. Sounds simple, but it was exceptional. Maybe the best chicken I have ever eaten. The onion rings dipped into the house made garlicky ranch was messy good and the twice fried fries were excellent. When in Charlotte, I'll be back

Overall, this place is wonderful. We did a walk-in and the only place we could sit without a long wait was the bar so consider making a reservation if you want to go with a group, not sit at the bar, or not have over a 30 minute wait. But nonetheless, the food was so good! We got the calamari app, short rib pizza, gnocchi, and roasted beets side dish. If you love calamari, you'll love rooster's! I'm usually not a red/tomato sauce fan but the marinara that it came with was fire, better than the aioli (and that's something I never say!) The gnocchi was amazing and was recommended by the staff so it's a fan fav. The drinks also were delicious and the bartender was super friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was dim yet cozy and inviting. This is a great place for an intimate dinner for a date night or with friends!
