Rooster's at Southpark

Had an absolutely DELICIOUS lunch here today! The weather was lovely and we sat on the patio.it was perfect. Service was a little slow but one of the hostesses more than made up for it. Loved the shrimp and grits and am kicking myself for not getting an extra order to go to take home to San Francisco!!! It was phenomenal! I am craving them on the plane! My husband had the chicken salad sandwich and a side of grits and loved his lunch too. It was too much food and he brought his grits with him.If we lived in Charlotte we would be regulars at Roosters. Loved it and there are lots of yummy looking things to try on the menu. Will return on our next trip!One weird thing - our waitress said something when she first came over to the table about the menu maybe having "confusing words" and to let her know if we needed help with anything. We didn't know wth she was talking about. Thought it was VERY strange. We just let it go. But it was an odd experience.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Rooster's Restaurant. The restaurant is nice and spacious. My waitress recommended the duck and hanger steak, and both dishes were delicious. We finished our meal with dessert and a couple of drinks. We will definitely be back!

Stopped here for lunch one day while out shopping. It did not disappoint! The food was top notch! We started with beignets that were so tasty! Our server was eager to help with recommendations and service was timely. Other servers were always there to remove dishes or refill beverages. It was a true team effort caring for the patrons. Inside the restaurant was a nice feel although I didn't love the roosters on the wall. All I could think of was how dusty they probably were! Roosters aside, the experience was lovely and I will be back when in the area again!

Made the mistake of living in charlotte my whole life and never having eaten at roosters. What a huge mistake! Everything was superb, the service, food, and ambiance. I wish I had taken more pictures of the appetizers we got, but It was all ravenously consumed. Not pictured:Fried oysters were light and crispy paired along with their fresh cocktail sauce. Best fried oysters I've ever had, hands down.Chicken wings were excellent, they were smoked and then fried which gave the flavor and texture you hope for in a wing. Coconut cake was Devine. The swordfish was amazing, delicate and tender, percectly cooked with a great sear on both sides. Went along nicely with the ratatouille. I wish I took a picture of the grits as well because they were out of this world. My wife got the roasted half chicken which is what they're known for and it definitely didn't disappoint. Will be back

First timer! Here for a friend's wedding. Haven't had breakfast or lunch so we decided to give it a try. Conveniently located within walking distance of the hotel - Hyatt CentricLess than 10 min walk We were greeted by a very friendly host. I don't remember her name . We were seated immediately Our server Tim was awesome. He asked if it was our first time. He later explained the entree of the day and the local favorites. We chose the smoked spicy wings, house salad that's large enough for 2, Fried corn (DELICIOUS) , golden potatoes seasoned to perfection. The wings were not spicy at all for me but my husband needed a side of ranch :) You get a pound of wings roughly 8 to 14 pieces. We took a takeout box way too many wings for me :). About a handful of potatoes were left over. We opted out of dessert. Nothing really stood out ... The sides are large enough for 2! As I previously stated , more than enough left over for a snack or mini meal. This is a mixture of casual (jeans ) to business casual ambiance. Very nice Open kitchen and Full size bar. If you're in this area, stop in! We will certainly be back!

Upscale food at an upscale price. Shrimp are worth a try and they have a good draft menu but be prepared for the sticker cost. An extra star for our waitress.

The food was delicious. I don't think I have had better mushrooms than the side dish they offer.

Group dinner.Large clean restaurant.Fixed menu for our group.Trays of meats and cheeses to start.Then salads, very good, very fresh.I had the New York strip, excellent.Family style sides, I tried the Brussel sprouts, very good.I passed on desert.

Four of us enjoyed lunch. Those who had the smoked turkey sandwich rated it 4 of 5. The avocado spread was a wonderful addition. The ribeye sandwich was a hit tho the grilled salmon fell short as it was salty. Lunch before tip is around $20.

The staff has been great until today. Thank you to Karen who came to our rescue who helped our server assisted us with any and everything that we wanted. I hope the next time that we visit this location the service will be better or we may just need to come during lunch or dinner time. Ok I take it back so do not come here during brunch on a Saturday!!! Service is horrible even the managing staff!!!
