Rome Italian Pizza

First time trying this place bc they have later hours and it's within 3-4 mins of my home. I always see a decent amount of people in the restaurant as it sits at the corner of the stoplight. We ordered an extra large pizza with pepperoni, onions, green peppers, and mushrooms, a garlic cheesy bread, and a chicken salad with balsamic dressing. The order took about 10 mins to complete and when I went to pick it up, on my way out, I got almost to the door and realized I was forgetting the salad. I turned around reminded them and even asked if the balsamic dressing was in the bag, since they'd forgotten the salad at first. He assured me it was and I left. When I got home I realized that there were no mushrooms on our pizza and no dressing for the salad. The garlic cheesy bread was delicious! Great side! The pizza was pretty good, but the toppings were not spread out evenly on the slices. Some slices has plenty of veggies and other slices had two. The chicken salad had plenty of warm chicken on top of it. There were also green peppers, onions, a few tomatoes, Mozz cheese and some cumbers on top of iceberg lettuce. Overall, taste is ok, I'd try the restaurant again bc of great prices and hours, but Marcos will continue to be my go-to pizza spot!

Mixed bag is the best way I can describe the times I have had food from Rome Italian Pizza. I actually grew up in High Point, but had never eaten inside the actual restaurant until a week ago. That said, I have had pizzas either by take-out or delivery several times over what has to be 30 years now. Lately, I had a couple basic pizzas from them at a function in downtown, and we also stopped in for lunch on a total whim, wanting a pizza buffet.First, the pizzas over the years. I would say, on par with most of the locally owned pizza and local franchise spots around, like an Elizabeth's. Sometimes, I would describe the pizza as dry, other times, the sauce ratio is a little better and it is quite good. The pizza is a solid 4 stars, I would say, if you're considering a pizza... go for it, decide for yourself.Now, our most recent experience inside the restaurant, was simply not a positive one. We came in around 1pm, wanting to do the pizza buffet. Unfortunately, looking at what was available, it just wasn't appealing. The pizza was very cold, it needed a refresh. We expressed this to the waitress. If she had said "we'll make you a fresh pizza of whichever type you want" we'd have been game. That's not the response we got, so we moved on to hot subs.I ordered the meatball sub, my wife ordered chicken parm. The meatball was, just ok. The meatballs themselves were sliced and warm, sauce was the same I was used to from the pizza, cheese could have used more time to melt, but overall... I was OK. Her sandwich, was not good at all. She did write her own review about it, and I happen to agree. It's generally expected that ordering a chicken parm sandwich at an italian pizzeria is going to be a breaded cutlet. What was given was the shaved chicken that you would normally see if someone orders chicken on a pizza (not my thing, but to each their own). The result was very very dry chicken. The sandwich sat on her plate with two bites taken out of it for the meal duration. No prompt was given for whether we enjoyed our meal.In all, I learned my lesson that day, that this place is good for a fresh pizza. I'll only go that route in the future. The sandwiches were simply not our preference. The chicken parm needs to be rethought, or better explained as shaved chicken.

Aside from the kind server and clean interior, this was a terrible experience. We wanted to go to another restaurant's pizza buffet, but got there and saw that it was closed, and decided to try this one instead. We took one look at the pizza buffet and decided ordering a fresh sandwich would be better than the cold, unappealing slices sitting out. We were wrong.My partner ordered the meatball sub. It wasn't half-bad. Nothing stellar, but no real complaints. I ordered what was described as a "Chicken Parmesan" sub. What came out was dried, rotisserie chicken with a little bit of bland marinera sauce and mozzarella cheese that wasn't even fully melted. When I read "chicken parm," my assumption is that it's a breaded, fried chicken cutlet baked with marinera and cheese, then placed on a sub roll. Not whatever that was. So I really only had a few bites and couldn't bring myself to continue eating it. A person who appeared to be in management stopped by to ask if I wanted a box, and I kindly replied no thank you. I was somewhat expecting him to ask how the meal was since he clearly saw I didn't eat it. But nothing from him.

Grabbed a couple pizzas tonight for a showroom dinner in Highpoint. We ordered the Rome pizza (supreme), ham and pineapple, and a cheese. All were decent. Nothing amazing, But i will say the supreme was absolutely loaded with toppings. It was very hearty 1-2 slices was more than filling. The ham and pineapple also had a very generous portion of toppings. Service was good and pizzas were ready in about 15 minutes.

Good food. Crinkle cut fries, subs, pasta dishes are good. Lunch and dinner bar with pizza, pasta and salad.

The pizza is delivered with speed and has delicious flavor. However, the crust was undercooked. This has occurred more than once. With that said, I just turn on the oven and cook it a little longer. The undercooked crust does not deter me from ordering. Rome's pizza sauce is not sweet which is more important to me than the crust. The crust I can fix. Sweet tomato sauce I can't correct.

Excellent pizza and subs! The baked spaghetti with meatballs is a regular selection of ours. And nothing beats their buffet for taste, satisfaction, and price.

I give two stars because I have been ordering from this establishment for two years..but tonight the sub par food and help from management is ridiculous. First of all let me ask a question why would.you want food back that patrons have touched,breathed on or opened in their environment? I gave them a good review before but for a 63 dollar order that was under cooked twice is ridiculous. I'm done with Rome's.I ordered back up pizza from Marios and I'm.satisfied.now. Management of RomesI have spent.too much money with y'all to be okay with the service tonight. you try listening to kids cry because they're hungry and have to wait for a undercooked pizza they can smell and can't eat.m MIC DROP.

food was terrible order a large pizza, barely any toppings and pizza was super floopy but the worst part was the wings. I ordered 20 wings and they were 99 percent fat 1 percent meat. threw the whole order away better off at papa John's or Pizza Hut!

Been going here for almost 10 years now and the pizza never disappoints. In need of a great NY style pizza look no further. Always quick great service and have never received a wrong order. Delicious homemade ranch as well.
