I love BBQ so when this food truck came to our community I was excited.I ordered the pulled chicken sandwich with a side of coleslaw. What a let downThe sandwich roll was soft and fresh but the chicken although tasting fresh was cut in cubes and minimally seasoned not tasting anything like pulled chickenI am used to chicken looking pulled in strands not cut in cubesThe side bbq sauce was nothing special and lacked the spicey sweetness I am used toMy coleslaw was bland , almost dry, lacking moistness or creaminess and a skimpy portion at that. The sandwich was $7.50 and a side I believe around $2.00 or moreI don't know how the pulled pork was or the sides of beans or mac and cheese. But after my experience with what I ate I don't think I would order from this food truck again.

Y'all I did not know they made teeny tiny taco shells until I got Bbq chicken tacos at this truck. The portions for the price at this place are really disappointing, especially because it's a Bbq truck and you expect to be a little glutinous. My chicken tacos had okay flavor, but the teeny tiny taco shells were cold and they were so small I was still hungry afterwards, and I usually have a pretty small appetite :(. My friend's Mac and cheese was pretty decent though!

I ordered the "Pulled Chicken Plate" for $11 w/ two sides. See image for what I received. Dry, cubed chicken pieces from what was likely frozen tenderloin. Awful, bland sides. Was NOT the pulled BBQ chicken you know and love. Cafeteria food at best.

Love their yummy veggie sides. It's unusual for a bbq joint to have vegetarian options! The traditional mac and cheese and the green beans (they're pork free!) are the best! All my omnivore friends LOVE the bbq. Always friendly faces serving from the food truck. Hit them up at Catawba brewery on Thursdays!

As a Tennessee boy, I wasn't sure TN BBQ could compete here in Charlotte, but dang if I wasn't wrong!!! This is some of the best bbq I've had in Charlotte since we've moved here-- and it came from TN?!? The service is excellent, too and for the price, you can't beat that portion size!!!!

The bacon jalapeños Mac & cheese was pretty good but the bbq sandwich was dry! The bread was so dry i feel it might've been expired. The pork was extremely dry as well. I added the vinegar based sauce they gave me and it didn't help. It was hard to swallow.

We tried them for the first time at the huntersville Halloween festival on rural hill, I ordered the pulled pork sandwich, I decided to eat it at home and when we got home i took a bite and realized they gave me chicken and not pulled pork. My container said pulled pork so clearly who ever made the sandwich wasn't paying attention. I was frustrated I wasted money on something I wouldn't eat.

I got the pork bbq platter which included the pork, two sides a generic hamburger roll and their house made bbq sauce. The pork and bbq sauce were good but the sides were horrible. I got the beans and coleslaw and could only take one bite of each before spitting both bites out. I went back and exchanged the beans and slaw for green beans and Mac and cheese and the green beans were just as bad. Cold watery and bland. Mac and cheese was okay. And for $13 I was extremely disappointed. Food trucks usually have amazing food. This one I wouldn't recommend unless they make better sides. I could have gone to Sonny's and gotten all you can eat bbq for $8.99 with way better sides.

I've been to the food truck a couple of times. The pulled pork is very flavorful; no sauce required. I usually get some variation of the mac and cheese as a side. Creamy and delicious. Service is friendly and prompt. An easy go-to for lunch.

Rocky Top comes to my job a few times per month. I tried them for the first time last week. The customer service was fast, efficient and friendly. But I was floored when they told me how much I owed for a single pulled pork sandwich. $9.07!!!! Included no side or drink. The meat was a little dry. They provided minimal amount of bbq sauce to possibly aid with the lack of moisture. It was your typical tiny take out container of sauce only 1/3 of the way full. Not even enough to taste. So, I don't know if the sauce was good or not. And sauce is key when it comes to bbq. I felt completely ripped off!!!! The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because Yelp requires at least 1 just to submit a review. The other star was for the courteous customer service.
