Rock Hill Diner

The eggs, livermush, and home fries were great. I would skip the biscuits and order toast. The gravy is made from a mix. So no grandmas gravy here. The service was little slow; however, they were busy. The place was really busy and loud as most people were eating and talking enjoying themself. This place is better then the local crackbarrel. We will be back for breakfast again soon

This place is is more: You're broke and are hungryBut, I wanna start by saying, I really love the staff! Ya get the Southern hospitality feel in their tone and mannerism.However, when you go in, you see some food on the floors so I felt a little put off by it. No Napkins on the tables so you have to ask for it .Salad definitely looks homemade. Looks like someone threw it together and I wish the salad filled the whole plate and that it wasn't served on a plate with chipped edges. The fried pickles were good but I didn't expect it to be whole like that and not chip like.The spaghetti was alright but the sauce wasn't acidic so I had to add salt from the table Good portion.The garlic bread I had to pull to even eat it.So.... This diner was decent for a quick and casual dinner spot. Near our hotel, lots of food options, and plenty of seating. Service was pretty quick. I got the burger with fries, and it was pretty decent. It's an alright spot for a casual meal if you're in the area.

A recent discovery for us, although we drive past it frequently. A real, old-time three meal a day eatery with a menu that has no end and servers who are constantly moving to take care of hungry customers.It is VERY popular so parking can sometimes be bothersome, but it always seems to work out. Regardless of the time of day, it looks crowded, but don't be scared...you will get in.Locals know the Rock Hill diner, so you will be in great company with all types of people.

I was in the mood for fried shrimp and because of my now new health issues....I have to be careful with what I eat.On their menu they have "grilled flounder". However, the server told me they couldn't grill the flounder. ? I was too tired to even debate her answer.The "jumbo" shrimp, flounder and fried squash was all was coated in a "batter".The flounder was way too salty. Not my liking.The Jumbo battered shrimp was great!!! The squash was tasty & cooked to perfection. Their unsweetened ice t with lemon (not shown) is always freshly brewed & tasty. It's the BEST I've tasted in Rock Hill.The service was great, forgot her name, but she was a newly hired server with blonde hair. Excellent service. I also ordered "vegetable" soup to go, not shown either. I highly recommend their soup!! I love RH Diner....it's just that the fish I ordered, I was disappointed.

We enjoyed this place if only for the nostalgia of it. It seems to be in an old Shoney's building and offers a menu you would expect from a southern diner/ "meat and 3" kind of restaurant. The menu was extensive but offered a lot that one would expect. We decided to stick to the club sandwiches as we missed breakfast and didn't want to eat anything super heavy in the middle of the day. They were a solid option and still a pretty substantial meal. I was able to swap out the fries for one of the daily vegetables which is always a plus. I opted for the fried okra which was ok. A little cold by the time I received it but not bad. The club itself was solid. For the price, I would've appreciated a little higher quality deli meat but the bacon was cooked well and everything was proportional so I can't complain. Our waitress was very nice and on top of things. The place was packed so it was a little loud but not bad. Mainly it seemed to be the staff hanging out nearby that were the loudest. The loud swearing caught me a little off guard when I'm not usually phased by things like that, so I imagine the older population that seems to make up the majority of their customer base doesn't exactly appreciate it. Overall though, the place is pretty casual so I imagine the professional standards are pretty casual as well. It was a solid option for a decent meal. Maybe not somewhere I would go out of my way to visit but not bad if you find yourself in the area and looking for that kind of vibe.

My husband and I enjoy eating at little town diners. We were really excited to go to Rock Hill Diner today. Hubby ordered Country Fried Steak, which he enjoyed. I ordered the Roast Sirloin with au jus, which was terribly disappointing. It was literally 4 pieces of thin lunch meat on a plate with au jus poured over it. However, the service was pretty good.

The food was so-so. Nothing horrible but nothing particularly special. I really didn't appreciate Fox News blasting off every TV. I don't need politics shoved down my throat while I'm trying to eat.

I love the French toast and hash browns and they were delicious. The service is incredible and the ambiance is amazing. Plus, the waiters and waitresses are so nice.

The food is good with a variety to choose from, Italian, fish, Greek, and meat and veggies. They also have awesome banana pudding.
