Roaming ForkOne of the original food trucks to start the food truck scene in Charlotte NC, Roaming Fork Food Truck is offering some delicious eats. I just happen to be working in the area where Roaming Fork sets up on Thursdays out in Ballantyne and was able to grab some tasty lunch. The menu is varied and even has an Asian flare! I went with the recommendation of the cashier. I got the Porky Cheesy and the Truffle fries. The grill cheese had a good crunch and a good amount of filling. I love anytime you mix bbq pork and cheese and this didn't disappoint. The truffle fries get squirted with truffle oil after they come out the grease and have an amazing aroma. I liked the flavor but I love fries with a condiment so I felt like the fries could have used some ranch dipping sauce. The menu has a lot of items I would like to try. Hopefully I'm back in the area where they are located and can give them another try soon. Roaming Fork Thursday October 24, 2019 1pm

This food truck was at the Run Ballantyne event this morning and I am so glad I stopped by! Their breakfast menu included some muffins and sandwiches...but the real winner of the menu:SWEET POTATO TATER TOTS. The staff even gave me a container of syrup to dip in, and it was delicious. My friend got the pork belly sandwich and Parmesan fries. She said the sandwich was amazing, and the fries were good, but my tater tots wee better.

Loooooovvve Roaming Fork. This food truck stops by my job every know and then and they are so delicious! My favorite thing on are the Parmesan truffle fries. Those fries are on my top ten list of comfort foods. This visit, I enjoyed shrimp tacos with parmesan truffle fries and chicken and veggie potstickers. Yes I'm greedy. The shrimp in the tacos was 'blackened' but not so 'blackened' that you get like you were eating burnt meat; just grilled to perfection . There was an interesting mango salsa on the taco that was also pretty tasty . I like the spicy bbq sauce they have as a condiment on the truck , I dipped my fries in this as well as a thousand island based ( I think) dressing that came with my entree. The potstickers came with an awesome dipping sauce as well. So saucy. So good :-)

Wow. Can I say amazing fish tacos? I got the blackened fish tacos at the Roaming Fork the other day and they were delicious. I didn't even miss the typical 'fried fish' in fish tacos. And the fish tacos at Phat Burrito paled in comparison. The Roaming Fork taco was stuffed with fish, lettuce and grilled corn salsa. It tasted fresh and remarkably creamy (combination of corn and some sour cream). The 2 tacos come with their signature parmesan fries. I have no idea how they managed to perfectly coat each fry (even though I was the first order of the night!) but they did. The fries are relatively thick cut If you saw a crazy person trying to balance a to-go container while eating fries down Tryon, that was probably me. If I happen to track down this truck again, I'd be tempted just to buy a whole serving of fries. Service here is friendly and at regular speed. The serving size is larger than that of TIn Kitchen's. So I'm going to have to give Roaming Fork the one up this time--I still recommend trying both for the variety of flavors.

Love the innovative burgers and tacos that they have! My favorite was the blackberry goat cheese burger with a side of Brussel sprouts with balsamic drizzle.

Everything I get from this truck is fantastic. No fluff needed to hype this place up. The service is just as good as the food. Eat there... don't say I never told you about it... you'll thank me later.

I had Roaming Fork food truck at Food Truck Friday for the second time I also had it when they catered my good friend @harrisdudley dad's 60th birthday and instantly became a fan.I got daily special that was the adobe habanero coffe Latino mojo pork w/ yellow rice, roasted corn, red pepper, lettuce, chipotle aioli, pickled onion, cilantro, and bacon with parmesan truffle fries.

I am officially becoming a Roaming Fork Groupie, which can't be good for my waistline. Every Thursday I make it a point to visit for lunch. A couple of things have changed, so it's a good time for an update.Since my initial visits, I've tried more dishes. The fried deviled eggs are good, but they really need the mustard sauce with each bite to add some tang. I've also had a chance to try the pamesan herbed fries, which were crispy and hot. The parmesan added just the right amount of flavor and salt. Finally, I've had a chance to try the famous blackened fish tacos. Here's the thing: I'm not a huge fish taco fan. Everyone raved about them, so I tried them, and I recognize that they are an excellent version of a fish taco... But that's not my favorite kind of food. If you like fish tacos, you'll almost certainly love these.What IS my kind of food? Well, the grilled cheese, as my previous review made clear. The past few visits, they've started offering the option of pulled pork on the grilled cheese. Oh. My. God. They took my two favorite sandwiches, and combined them into one. I think about that pulled pork grilled cheese - a lot. Usually when I'm eating a salad. Their grilled cheese sandwiches will keep me coming back for more, for a long time. Particularly if they keep offering pork with them!The last two trips out to Ballantyne, I've also noticed that they have an "expediter" managing orders at the window. Last week, she wasn't wearing a Roaming Fork t-shirt, and people thought she was waiting in line. This week there was a really engaged woman in a RF t-shirt greeting everyone who showed up right away. She did a great job, and I think the addition of someone to manage the orders on the front end, while they work on getting them put together inside the truck is a great one.There will be many more visits from me! All of the food is great, the people are so nice, seek them out and you won't be disappointed!

Wow.... I just had another grilled cheese & tomato sandwich -mmm, mmm good! This time, the tomato was much more substantial and added good flavor and texture. The other Yelpers are right about this food - it leaves you craving for it again a day or two later. It's a good thing that they only come to Ballantyne Corporate Park once a week so that I don't over-indulge! (I'd hate to see the calorie count for the grilled cheese sandwich and a side of those wonderful parmesan-truffle fries!) But, the major down-side to going for lunch is that it usually takes about 30 mins to get my order prepared. (There always seems to be a line when I go by!) In 90 degree heat (while dressed for the office) with little to no shade around, waiting for your lunch outdoors becomes rather uncomfortable. However, I think they are trying to reduce the wait-times, because today they had a third person with them - to take orders and payments so now Kelli along with Darryl can totally focus on preparing the food.

Awesome Meatloaf Tacos Special from Roaming Fork. My first time at this food truck in Ballantyne was a good one. I will definitely be back.
