We tried Rice & Spice after moving into the area. Everything was delicious:- green curry with chicken was flavorful and we especially liked the eggplant soaked in the broth. Spice "as is" was just right for us- Lo mein with chicken was packed with chicken and veggies and not as oil forward as it can be at some restaurants. Some may wish for more flavor but again was just right for us We will certainly be back!

Straight to the point - Rice & Spice serves the BEST and most authentic Thai street food in Charlotte. I'll take it a step further by saying - it's one of my favorite restaurants in Charlotte. It's located in a strip mall of sorts with other businesses nearby but you'll find the bulk of the traffic in the parking lot is for this restaurant. It's a quaint restaurant with booths and lots of family style seating. The servers are all friendly and know their stuff; From visiting for so long I recognize they've been working here for some time. It's nothing fancy per se, it's a very chill vibe overall. It's good for a casual date, a solo dinner, or a family dinner as well. I'm not sure what Thai ANGEL works in the kitchen here but OH. MY. WOW. Everything I've tried here is delicious. If you're a beginner to Thai food, I'd recommend either the Pad Thai or the Basil Fried Rice. The drunken noodles here are the most amazing comfort food you could have on a cold winter evening. Their curries are DELICIOUS and with authentic flavor. One thing to note: if you're sensitive to spice, be sure to tell your server so to make a good choice. Thai spicy is HOT, like make-you-sweat and teary-eyed hot lol. There is also a full bar. If you like beer, try a Singha for an authentic Thai beer. (Saying this very humbly) I've tried many Thai dishes in Thailand, and this is the closest thing to the real deal given that they're sourcing ingredients in the US. You cannot go wrong.

Preface, we've ordered take out from here 3x. This is our first time dining in. When we arrived, we were greeted and seated immediately. There was a big dinner party next to us and the waiter informed us he can put in our order when we are ready because it will take a little more time due to the party. I was craving Thai food because of their bold, deep, savory and spicy flavors. We ordered dishes from the menu that we have not had before and let me tell you it did not disappoint. We ordered the Rice n Spice wings, Som Tom with Crab (Spicy), Roasted Duck Curry, and the Shaking Beef. Dinner was delicious and every bite was sooooooooooo good!!!! If you're in the mood for Thai food this is the spot!!

I came on a Saturday evening (5 pm) - this was my first visit. Service was okay, nothing to go on about. The Thai tea was good, just on the sweeter side. Started with shrimp Fresh Summer Rolls. They are served with hoisin peanut sauce - delicious! Majority of reviews raved about their drunken noodles - so that's what I went with. I added beef as my protein. Even though the beef was thinly sliced, it was soo tough, which was extremely disappointing. On the positive - the portion size was large. Ended my meal with mango sticky rice. I was too full to really enjoy. I requested peanut sauce to-go and was charged $0.50. It paired really well with the drunken noodles. But sriracha would have been even better! My grand total was $39.51.Will definitely try this place again - they have several things I want to try!

I really WANT to love this restaurant...very convenient location, comfy ambiance, great service, and I love Thai foods! Sadly, each and every time I come here, I leave a bit disappointed with the foods. In the past, I tried their noodle dishes...and I felt they were too wet/soggy (and underwhelming in flavor), so I vowed to try their rice dish next time.Well, I finally revisited and tried their Sweet & Sour Chicken w/ Rice. First of all, the dish looks delicious...but sadly, it just wasn't any good. Although I liked the texture of their rice, I felt that the Chicken was really bad (sorry!). There was no "sweet" in this "Sweet and Sour" Chicken...mostly sour in taste. Plus, I didn't love the veggies in this dish either...just lotsa of onions and peppers. I barely ate half of the plate. Even the Thai Iced Tea... Very weak version. *SIGH* On the plus side, the presentation of the foods were good. Also, I really liked the generous load of their Edamame appetizer.Since the place is so conveniently located and nicely accommodating, I may still revisit sometime in the future, but I'm not getting any of their noodle dishes, and definitely not their Sweet & Sour Chicken dish either. I struggled with the ratings, but I have to base this review on my disappointment of the foods this time. I truly felt that was the worst version of "Sweet & Sour" I've ever had. It should have been called "Sour & Sour". Guess I should have ordered a Thai rice speciality instead of a Chinese fusion one. :(

I was in the neighborhood and saw Rice and Spice Thai Street Food. I checked out the reviews on Yelp and decided to try it out. When I first walked in, the decor really didn't match my expectations of Thai cuisine but the atmosphere and ambiance was nice. We checked out the menu and saw many typical Thai dishes but I'm a fan of Red Curry and I wanted to compare theirs to a local favorite of mine. The wait time on our appetizers and main dishes didn't take long and so it was time to eat. My Red Curry had a nice flavor but it wasn't as flavorful or savory as my favorite restaurant, Thai House. I'm not saying was bad, only that it was missing something. The waitstaff did a very good job of being attentive, professional and friendly. Overall, I did enjoy dining at Rice and Spice but I may not go back because the food was lacking for me. I do however recommend them as an option if you're looking for authentic Thai food. Enjoy!

This is one of my favorite Thai places to eat in NC. It's a drive from where I am but the drive is worth it. Every time I come the Thai Boat noodle does not disappoint. The staffs are also really nice and kind. There is not a long wait time on the food either.

Horrible experience picking up food. Waited close to an hour and they forgot to make one of the ordered dishes. I had to ask twice to check on it and turns out they missed the dish and I had to wait another 7 min.The food ended up being incorrect since one was filled with green bell peppers when I specifically said I had an allergy and we found a hair in the other dish. I will never go here again.
