Lively & busy, the was a very happening place. We found it very difficult to find parking, as their parking lot was very small. We ended up parking 3 blocks away & hoofing it to the brewery. The beertender was very pleasant & patient and offered a few samples to help us make our choices. We all enjoyed our brews. It was pretty noisy since it's basically one big open building & it was teeming with children.

A very pleasant afternoon was spent here, enjoying watching the other customers coming and going while we enjoyed a side of fries and two beers. This was a neat spot though perhaps a little quiet on a Saturday at noon. The fries are fabulous and available by themselves. Resident Culture not only has QR codes for the menu but you can order from it and pay on your phone. Super easy and super convenient.Nice comfortable booth, cold beer, awesome fries. A nice "light" snack.[Review 2056 of 2024 - 3750 in North Carolina - 23076 overall]

Had a couple of beers here, very cool vibe and good beer! The space is huge with lots of bar and table seating. We didn't eat but the food menu had some good options. Our bartender was very nice and attentive. Would definitely come back!

It was good, I'm talking the food, but I don't know if I'd come back just for the food - but they have kids eat free during the week - and well, when your kids need to eat, and there's beer...that's a win. It was pretty dead on a Tuesday when we came (which again worked great because of the tiny humans). The beer is always solid at resident culture, so you can't go wrong. They were out of a few beers on their menu, but of course we found something - did I mention they brew solid beer? Kids food - on point. The mac and cheese was demolished. Chicken fingers didn't stand a chance (although my daughter ate more of my pulled chicken) and both of my kids love baked beans, so yay! My husband got wings and one of the egg rolls - I can't remember which, but it was delish. My pulled chicken was fine, but needed the sauces. The wings were tiny and not really seasoned, but those were the only "shortcomings". Can't say how it is on the weekends, but we will come back, especially with kids eating free - if you're a parent, you know that's a game changer!

PAAARRRRRTTTTTTYYYYYY.Let's first talk beer - big fan. I liked the beers we tried here. I'm a bit picky with saisons, but I liked the Land of Lost Butterflies. We also had Sorte (Altbier) and Lost but Not Forgotten (ESB). I thought all three beers were solid, tasty, and just right. Let's talk about vibe. We came in on Saturday afternoon for a little Charlotte FC pregame action. There was a live DJ, LOTS of people, a beer pong table, and just about everything else you'd expect from a college frat party. That said, I'm little old, so this was not the place for me. We snagged some isolated bar stools, and I could not hear my boyfriend talking right next to me. This place was a straight up party. Maybe it was the day, time, and circumstances, but I wouldn't be in a hurry to come back to this specific location. The food menu was enticing, but we weren't starving, so we opted for the hot buffalo chicken wings. I can't believe we live in a world where chicken wings are going for $17 - it seems like robbery. This is just an observation, and it is not unique to Resident Culture. That said, the $17 wings were just not great quality. They were mostly flats, much to the chagrin of my boyfriend, they were not super meaty, and the bones were brittle, breaking in my mouth. I loved the sauce, but that was about it.All in all, I liked Resident Culture's beer, but I think it's probably best enjoyed on my back patio.

We went for drag brunch, which was great. I love the selection of food and drinks. The wings were some of the best I'd had. It did take some time to get a Coke, after two reminders. Our food was also taken from the table before we were finished. Will go again, but try to guard my food.

Cool spot. Only checked out the tap room, but need to come back to try the food collab. This location is a little more parking friendly than Plaza (but not by much now that everything and everyone is in Southend). Luckily we found some street parking nearby and were doing our own make-shift bar crawl.Same solid offerings (beer-wise). The space itself is a converted warehouse space so it's tricked out only in a style that is Resident Culture. There's something for everyone - if you are just meeting up to catch up, watch sports, or "working" from a brewery, this is the place you want to go.

My husband and I have visited Resident Culture twice now--once for coffee and once for coffee and breakfast--and this place is now a must-return for breakfast and coffee in Charlotte. We've tried their cortado and lattes, and both were fabulous. The lattes were strong and perfectly creamy (with whole milk). We added an extra shot (for four shots total), but I'm not sure they even needed the boost. We definitely want to try their nitro and brûlée coffees on another visit.Since I've been reading about El Toro Bruto's breakfast tacos lately, my husband and I had to try one of each--chorizo, bacon, barbacoa, and bistec. Their tacos are generously filled and so good! If I could offer one suggestion, it would be to add more cheese, since you can never have enough cheese on breakfast tacos! My favorites (in order) were: barbacoa, bacon, chorizo, and bistec. All of the meats were perfectly cooked, but IMO, the barbacoa was the absolute best. I don't like saucy meat, and the barbacoa was perfectly tender and flavorful, without needing a saucy addition. Their small dips of red and green sauce add wonderful flavor, too. We had to have an Alfajor--a chocolate cream-filled cookie--for dessert. The cookies are lighter than shortbread, and the chocolate cream is just amazing. It's not as heavy as Nutella, and I would say it's even better. What a perfect sweet complement to our savory breakfast tacos!I also wanted to mention their wonderful staff, who were so friendly and helpful. Their dining room is spacious and comfortable. Parking is a bit of a challenge, though. If you can't get a spot in the small lot in front of the building, you can park on the street in front of the building, or around the corner on Church Street, in front of the apartments. Just be mindful of the few areas with "No Parking" signs, because we regularly see parking enforcement monitoring this area. We can't wait to return!

01.20.23 Mexi-Cali Bowl White rice, greens and Sweet Potato Matcha Served with pinto beans, queso fresco, pico de gallo, guacamole, pickled onions & roasted veggiesI really enjoyed the Mexicali Bowl! It was fresh and tasty! I enjoyed being able to order from the table but both of the back bartenders were very helpful with answering questions! I always like to ask the servers/ bar tenders what they eat when I visit an establishment! The recommendations were helpful and did not disappoint. I would definitely return! #eatingaroundcharlotte #meatlessmeals #plantbasedfood #amateurfoodentusiast #tonsofflavor #variety #colorfulplate

Well, you can't go wrong with any of resident cultures beers and the food is very good at this location, it isn't very good at being a brewery or a nightclub. The first time I went, I discovered that there was no patio and I almost left. I never Thought there would be a brewery that didn't have a patio and falling short is a recurring scene at this location. On Friday and Saturday nights, they move some of the chairs to make room for a dance floor. I did not have a good experience when I came For that, but that wasn't necessarily the bar's fault. The biggest beef I have with this location is it killed the awesome fun factor of the original resident culture in plaza midwood. Before this one opened that one used to be way more fun than it is now and I still will take that one over this one on any day that ends with a Y.
