The location alone is 5-star worthy! Located in the courtyard within the specialty shops, I love the outdoor patio's ambiance without a view of cars/the street. Inside, the smallish shop also has seating for non-optimal weather days. The pastries in the case all look divine. I ordered the chocolate almond croissant, and really enjoyed both the filling and toppings. We had purchased a Goodiebag ahead of our visit (check out the Goodiebag app to help local businesses reduce food waste), and this one came with a peaches & cream danish and a large raspberry and lychee macaron. These are items I wouldn't have necessarily ordered myself, but were nonetheless delicious, and I'm glad I got to try them (especially at a reduced price). We also got a vanilla latte and dirty chai to drink, which were both hot and well prepared. I waited about 10 minutes for the drinks to be ready. Service was friendly. Merci, Renaissance Patisserie!

So this place is a little hard to find if you are coming here for the first time. I recommend finding it on Google map before you start walking. It's in a cute quant place with other businesses so parking can be tough to find as southpark is a busy area. The food was decent, I feel like it's too overpriced for the portion. I was expecting the croissants to be bigger. Their salad with the croissant was not a salad, it literally had 5 pieces of lettuce and I'm not even lying lol. The coffee was good. I got the dirty chai. The service was decent. It is definitely a small spot so seating is limited. They do have seating outside as well. I didn't get to try the pastries but they look delish. Just wished it was a bigger spot and a little cheaper price as I don't think the price fits the portion and taste of the items.

Pretty little shop. That opera slice was absolutely orgasmic!! The Kouign Amman was not what I expected, but good. The raspberry-lychee macaron was good. I'll be making up for this sugar binge for a WHILE!

Wow, lucky me to have happened upon this DELICIOUS bakery/cafe! It's like a taste of France. I had a tasty turkey and Swiss sandwich for brunch. I came back a few hours later to satisfy my snack needs. I ordered a dirty chai latte and discovered a freshly made, and still slightly warm, raisin pecan bread loaf. I bought the loaf and they sliced it for me. I thoroughly enjoyed the bread and drink. Yum and yum! The service was good. The environment is very French cafe. Oo, La, La! I'm just visiting but hope to come back to this area to enjoy this French Patisserie.

Well i had not had any pastries from this bakery since it was located at the Farmers Market in Charlotte. I was so looking forward to a Cannale - its a cute little French cake with a Rum and sugar taste - we bought 4 of them. very disappointed. They were burnt on the outside and not cooked on the inside. I have a picture for you - Not going back - No flavor either - so sad ...

We ordered a birthday cake for my 32 year old niece Dinner Party. When I opened the box the cake was cute but my cellphone was taller the cake. A staff member advised it could serve 8 to 10 ppl. I told her I could eat that little cake by myself. We went to nearby bakery and purchased a larger cake. I kept the small cake to snack with my supper. Sadly, I found it to be rather dry. However, I will return after the holidays to try Renaissance delicious looking sweet treats in their showcase!

Nice staff, delicious looking pastries in the case and a cute seating area outside. I came in on a hunt for anything lemon. The lady helping up wasn't really knowledgeable of the bakery items and what flavors they were but she asked the other employee making drinks for help which was helpful. I picked out a parfait and a cupcake and had plans to eat them both within the hour after ordering. The two bakery items I had weren't good. The strawberry lemon cupcake was dried out and crumbled to the fork. The lemon raspberry parfait had a solid top layer (because of the refrigeration) and a bland middle. Not a soft cake and no flavor of lemon or strawberry. We took a couple bites of each and ended up throwing them away. A disappointment because in the case they looked so good. Maybe I was just here on an off day or maybe I ordered the wrong things but unfortunately, if I had to sum it up this was a lackluster experience for me and based off quality and taste I wouldn't add this to the list of places to recommend.

I was gifted a basket with a gift card to Renaissance Patisserie. We had never been and was not prepared for how much business they would have. (a great sign)While I was waiting I couldn't help but smell the onion soup. It smelled heavenly. I did not get to try any this time around, but will be back next to try cafe menu! Their sandwiches look delicious too. We had multiple different kinds of macarons! My favorite of all the blueberry lavender! This flavor alone will bring me back in the door because it is very authentic and hard to find. (pumpkin coming in 2nd place) The staff was very sweet and did a great job of getting everyone in and out with their orders efficiently accommodating for everyone. There's a window in the shop where you can look back into the kitchen and see everyone working as hard as they can. On their cooler you can see " Charlotte's best French restaurant. " Can't wait to tell everyone about this place. Must stop

One of the best local bakery in Charlotte area. Renaissance Patisserie doesn't disappoints. Loved the pastries and quiches. Locals love it so will you. On a cool day, you can sit outside and enjoy your quiches or croissants with some sun.
