Inside the tuna melt. Not really mayo based (instead it's lemon capers and red onion) so a different cheese would be better suited

I don't know why I bother, because y'all just don't listen good. I told y'all I need to know of all the good eateries in and around Charlotte and here I am sitting right on top of this one for 6 years. Reid's Fine Foods, uptown Charlotte. Wanted something different from my usual cheese, crackers and banana breakfast this morning and decided to journey out into the cold uptown streets. Found this place, ordered egg white, spinach, tomato and roasted red pepper on toasted English muffin. Where did they get a muffin this big! Had to eat with knife and fork, but it was delish. Happy hips!

One of the worst experiences at such a classy establishment. The lady taking my order was so rude that I left before it was even placed.

I've been to Reid's a few times and find it meh. The last straw was a Poppy's bagel (Poppy's, I hope you read this), which was undeniably burnt. I don't get my bagels toasted b/c why toast a wonderful bagel, so this wasn't the fault of the toaster. Add to that, this wasn't made hours ago, this was yesterday's bagel - the crumb was crumbly and dry, not like a proper bagel. Moral of the story? If you have to go to Reid's, make sure you open up your food and inspect it before you walk away from the counter.

I had lunch at Reid's one day while in Uptown for work. This was a very busy day--not even noon--and they were packed. When I first entered, everything seemed claustrophobically chaotic. Lots of people were standing around, and I didn't know if they were in a line or just waiting for their food. But I did figure it out, and headed over to the sandwich line to order an avocado cheddar wrap. (The lines are separated for salads and sandwiches/daily specials.)Once I ordered, I found the line to pay for my food, and then proceeded to head over to the side to wait for my sandwich. All told, it took about 20 minutes to order, pay, and get my food. That's similar to my prior experiences at Newk's. And they do make everything to order. At $8.99, my wrap was on par in terms of pricing with other sandwich shops, and the quality was excellent. The green goddess sauce was delicious. The wheat wrap had fresh sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, avocado slices, and shredded cheddar cheese. (I said 'no' to the red onions.) I happily ate every bite! They have lots of beverages available to purchase, and I was able to get my preferred Spindrift.I'll definitely return, and will go earlier to avoid the crowds.

I walked here from over in Gateway Village to try a new spot for lunch during the week. Knowing how many options I would have, I looked at the menu online and pre-planned my salad so I wouldn't be overwhelmed when I walked in. I arrived shortly after noon and while there were many people in the store, there was no line for salads. I stepped right up to the counter and the gentleman who helped me was super friendly and efficient. All of the toppings were well stocked and appeared fresh. Your first choices are type of lettuce and then dressing (they're pre-portioned ready to go on the side in small cups). I enjoyed spinach and poppyseed dressing. I was pleased to find their poppyseed is not creamy like many are, but more of an oil base and is just slightly sweet.I also added chicken, beets, egg (diced up already), candied walnuts, goat cheese, and mandarin oranges. The attendant even made sure the amount of chicken he gave me was enough, which honestly I should've gone with less (my eyes were bigger in that moment). He promptly packaged up my salad, plopped it on the scale, and stuck a barcode to it. I then proceeded to go to the register to pay for my selection (just the salad) and it ended up being ~$13 (you pay by weight). While I usually go to Devon & Blakely across the street and pay less, the flavor and offerings at Reid's I found were better and the overall experience was less overwhelming for me so I think I've found my new spot!

Cute little specialty dining store. Offers sandwiches, soups, salads and lots of snacks. Menu looked ok, comparable to the legacy Dean & Deluca or Devon & Blakely. Space is small but they made great use of it. Prices are reasonable, average for uptown. And they have macarons! And ice cream too! That always makes me smile. I'll have to see if anything sets Reid's apart from other specialty type cafes of its kind, but it's great to have options.

I was excited to try the new Reid's in Uptown and I am so happy they moved to this new location that is so convenient for uptown workers! It is extremely convenient to get to Reid's from the overstreet mall, so on hot and rainy days you don't have to spend that much time walking outside (this may sound lazy but it's true!). It is just across the street from the Bank of America plaza. It was a little hard to find - it is located in the lobby of the 121 W Trade street building which has a gold awning. I got the Spiedies Chicken Salad Sandwich. It was a wonderful sandwich - extremely creamy and flavorful. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of chicken salad that was on the sandwich; they definitely do not skimp on the contents! Everything was also extremely fresh and high quality. The reason I am giving this 4 stars is because my sandwich alone cost $9.37 and did not include chips or a side. If this would have included that I would have given this 5 stars. The atmosphere at Reid's alone is worth the trip because there are so many unique grocery items and desserts to see while you are waiting on your food. I can't wait to go back to get a cookie!

New guy working the counter in the morning is rude. He doesn't greet you. Just rings you up and walks away without a word. Also in the a.m. staff at the salad bar prepping food with no gloves on and consuming personal drinks. This place has become Just plain gross.
