Refinery 13 Taproom

We visited Refinery 13 Taproom while we were on our mountain get away. The beer selection is awesome! And it was very family friendly! There are games all over and our two boys (8 & 10yo) had a blast hanging out. We ordered wings and pizzas. The food was a hit as well! We got lucky and it wasn't that busy, but we were told it's busy most of the week, except Saturday. Pick your day and go! It's awesome! We will definitely be back!

What a cute tap room! We really liked the vibe, although it was not busy at about 7:30 on a Saturday night. They have tall tables and some lounging areas with comfy sofas and chairs. They have a nice selection of local brews, too. Bartenders were friendly and helpful. We wanted to try a few more but it was not our first stop for beer.

Great beer and pizza! Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and ony one TV (thankfully!) I had the blueberry beer and local beers are represented seasonally.

Moved back to NC after six years away and found ourselves living in Marion and were glad to have found this awesome little taproom. We've been here a handful of times. Great use of a brilliant old building on Main Street. The vibe is relaxed and very welcoming. It's an all craft tap list focusing on NC breweries with cider and wine. The food is "pub food" really tasty and well worth the money. They do a great job of keeping the tap list interesting, usually a good spectrum of styles from NC brewers with a couple of high gravity or "sour" beer options

Refinery 13 is under new ownership, a great place to hang out with friends, has great beer on top, great craft beers and has a very nice setup and very clean oh, I highly recommend Refinery 13 if you're in town and have a beer.

Marion also has a Taproom now too. They're getting cooler by the minute! Neat little hangout with exposed brick and mismatched plank wall and bar. Multiple taps and they also sell wine and cider. I popped in to go to the Birdsong tap takeover - unfortunately, I had already tried all five of the selections (if drinking gallons means "tried") and pretty much everything else on the board. I was happy to see all the NC beers and a brewery from Charlotte featured though.Once the taps rotate again, I'll go back for a real test drive as the atmosphere is nice and the price point on beer is about right.Support local - drink local!!

Not a bad place to grab a cold one. My only complaint is the hours. There's been many Friday nights where I would've went there exclusively, but could not because they close at 10.

I was just threatened and harassed for handing out gospel tracts, and sitting up town, minding my own business outside the business and across the road.

What a gem hidden on Main Street of this sleepy southern town. They have a good selection of local beers from microbreweries all over western NC as well as local wines and ciders as well. Due to the arcane laws in Marion, you have to "Join" to drink but membership is only $1 and the owners turn around and donate your membership fee to a local charity. How to drink and feel good about yourself at the same time. There isn't food available in the tap room, but you're encouraged to bring food in or even order delivery from a local establishment. Check out Burrito Bros. right next door; it's a perfect compliment to your beverage of choice. Update: Here it is four months later and this is our favorite spot in town. They've opened outdoor non-smoking seating which is a great place to sit and interact with your neighbors. The team at Refinery 13 is tops and makes everyone feel like a friend, whether it's their first visit or just their first visit that week. Come for Tuesday night trivia, one of their tap takeovers or order a pizza to be delivered and enjoy a fun relaxed evening with friends.

Cool place right in downtown Marion, NC. Great vibe, very chill, and friendly. Smart selection of brews, a little bit of everything to give every taste bud an option. Only complaint is the limited wine selection . I love local wines as much as the next person, but one or two from outside NC would be welcome. The NC wines are so sweet!keep it up, we will be back soon.
