What a vibe. Yes, the food isn't gourmet, but the place is so much fun! There are so many unique seating arrangements, lots of tvs, and a variety of food options that are VERY AFFORDABLE (okra, wings, salmon, catfish). I also think they have a ton of deals on food AND alcohol. Something like $2 shots and $5 pints of beer? Seriously, this place was borderline cheap. As for the service, it was superb. Big PSA: A lot of people were hookah-ing, so there is a bit of secondhand smoke.

I love this place because of the chill, borderline hole in the wall vibes, and the prices. The decor is pretty cool, and there's an arcade in the back. I came on a Monday afternoon and a Saturday afternoon, and both times were a vibe. They played mostly hip hop, but the music selections were on point. You CANNOT beat the $10 hookah!!! The pineapple hookah was really good and it didn't have a burnt flavor to it. I also tried the $6 catfish brunch special. The catfish was HUGE, fresh, and very tasty along with the fries. On Monday, my bill for 4 drinks, 2 catfish brunch specials, and hookah came out to $54. The customer service is just middle of the road--not outstanding, but not terrible. This is a nice place to just relax, maybe get out the house to wfh, or to pregame. I will be returning!

Great atmosphere with a unique vibe! Eat, drink, and have a hookah!! Very spacious. Lounge in a recliner like chair and play a board game, read a book, watch tv. Yup, all under one fun roof! Also enjoy live DJ's on the weekends to really liven things up.

Although small, this place is a whole vibe with the laid back atmosphere and various seating areas. The bar has plenty of seating and there is a separate area divided by glass, where for a nominal fee you can enter to hear spoken word poetry or a dj playing on the weekends. They have free wifi and you can bring your laptop and work or just chill. They have a food menu, and although I didn't eat, the food I did see and the smells from the kitchen have me wanting to go back and try - when I do I will update this review. Drinks are good and Colby served me promptly and with a smile! She explained about the hookah to-go ($35) and answered any questions. I recommend!

They have the best brunch prices! I love coming here for lunch during the work day because they also have free wifi. It's a great place to relax, work and have a drink with your friends. Our server was super nice and sweet! They get busy during the day due to the great brunch prices but they're a very chill spot for midday vibes. I recommend trying the catfish and fries! Fish is fried hard to perfection! Fries are crispy and hookah is on point. Highly recommend trying out lunch here!

My friend brought and I came to this hookah spot one evening after dinner and drinks. It was very laid back and chill with couches and chairs (like a big living room) and they had a bar and a DJ playing music. They had the basketball game playing on the tv so you could come here solo or with friends if you wanted. Not sure the price of hookahs on the regular but it was $6 on this particular day (a Monday evening around 9PM). It wasn't too packed either so we were able to sit where we wanted. The hookah wasn't bad but it didn't pull as easy for me as some other places I've been too. At the same time it wasn't super harsh either so for $6 I'm not complaining. Didn't have any food or drinks so unfortunately can't speak to that.

I came here one day and sat smoke, hookah and worked. It was very peaceful. The staff checked on me. The service was quick. The music was chill. It was a complete vibe. I went during the day and I'm interested in seeing how it is at night overall it was cool the drinks water flowing and reasonably priced.

This was our Happy Hour spot of choice on a Friday afternoon after work. There was plenty of available seating when we arrived. Our server greeted us promptly and took our food and drink orders. The portion sizes are generous. The brussel sprouts were definitely the star of the night. We ended up staying for about 5 hours, ordering drinks throughout the night. Things were going great until it was time for our server to leave for the evening. She checked us out and specifically stated that the tip was not included on the bill. However, when we received our receipts, there was an 18% service charge that was added, even though we only had 4 people in our group. All of us had left an additional tip, not knowing the service fee was charged. By the time we realized it, our server was gone for the evening. She also did not assign another server to us even though we were still planning to order. We let the manager know and she immediately worked to make it right. Our service for the remainder of the evening was impeccable. The music was good, although the volume was a little low on the side where we were sitting. I would definitely plan to return in the future....although I will keep a much closer eye on my bill. Pro-tip: Plan time for parking. There is a free lot nearby but it is pretty small..

If you are looking for a chill vibe, good food and great drinks, this is place! This was my first time visiting Red@ 28 and I am definitely going back! I had the sweetest bartender by the name of slim! Her smile lit up the room and she was very knowledgeable about the food and drink menu. This place is a good time!

So I will say this, the space is very nice. The service on the other hand not great at all. We had to wait 40 minutes to retrieve our food (appetizer )because of only one server in the entire restaurant. We ordered mozzarella stick and a salmon salad. Now the mozzarella sticks came out, the waiter comes place them on the table and walks away. Never asked if it was ok, which it was not because they were Luke warm to the point the cheese was solid again. It also didn't have the marinara sauce with it! The waiter didn't come back to see us for another 15 minutes. So I just ate all of them because I assumed at some point I would see her. When the salad came out it was a dry salad with no dressing on it and the salmon was on top. One thing I will say the salmon was tasty but without the dressing it just made it a horrible experience. Again while eating it, the waitress was no where to be found. Therefore I give this place a one star. But if I could do no stars I would most definitely do that. If you're in Charlotte and want to go to a great place this is not it as of now!I read the other reviews before hand and thought maybe they were just getting it together cause of the prior year but no. This is not the place to go sorry!
