Rancho Viejo Mexican Grill & Cantina

Came in with a group of friends when we were in town for a work trip and this place did NOT disappoint!!The restaurant is very intimate and we were offered a very private feeling booth. It was really nice for our group.We were given chips and salsa right away and then proceeded to browse our menus. This menu had a LOT of options. I ended up ordering the enchiladas with green sauce and was pleasantly surprised by the giant portion.Our server was efficient and friendly and I would definitely come back here again!

Trip #2 and we were blown away again ! We had great food and great service again! We love the atmosphere, the outside patio, and the fresh salsa bar. The bathrooms have been very clean both times as well

I came here with two friends and it was a very average Mexican restaurant experience. Not good, not bad -- exactly what you expect when at a Mexican restaurant!I don't remember what I order but it was smothered in queso with avocado on top. It was delicious, especially scraping the inside part up with chips. Very delicious. The service was fairly quick so that was nice, but it generally felt like every other Mexican restaurant.Overall: good chips & good coca-cola & nice waiters!

Maria was absolutely amazing. She held my niece so we could finish our dinner- truly an angel. Genuinely such a kind, caring, & all around wonderful server. But she's much more than that- she's a wonderful human, too. We will always remember her!

Had a family get together dinner. Family came in from Knoxville and Raleigh. Great meal! No complaints. The staff was friendly and took the time to interact with us. Huge portions.

Food and service was AMAZING!! Thanks Xamira for being an awesome waitress! We ordered the Acapulco Bahia and the seafood was cooked to perfection!

The fajitas were superb! Huge serving, beautiful presentation ... and THE largest, most generous margaritas I've ever had.

Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures. We were visiting with family and were having such a great time, it didn't cross my mind. First off, let me start by saying that the customer service was A+ from the moment we walked in the door. We were a party of 8 and got seated immediately. Once seated we ordered our drinks and the server brought out chips and salsa, plus at the entrance there is a salsa bar with about 8 very good options. We had a variety of orders at our table, from fajitas, enchiladas, Chile relleno, Mochahete to a child's pizza and Pollo con arroz (chicken with rice), as well as Horchata (cinnamon rice water drink). Everything was cooked fresh and prepared to our liking. Not a single complaint, and just to note, the spanish rice was perfect. The waiter continuously checked on us and refilled our drinks. I've had other Mexican food in the Hickory/Granite Falls area and this is by far the most authentic I have come across. I absolutely recommend this location for its service, its food and its atmosphere.

Food and service were great!!! We had a blanco queso and chips for an appetizer and for dinner we had a shrimp chimichanga and vegetarian fajitas.Super clean restrooms too.
