Great amazing friendly staff. Recently moved to the area and they are making an outdoor space and they will have beer and wine in a few weeks. My fiance had the club which was amazing. I had the chili cheese fries, I wish there was more chili on the fries. Can't wait to try more of their menu.

The updated Jake's R&R has not disappointed. I've been twice since the name change and new menu. I was worried it wouldn't measure up but I think R&R has done a great job with the new menu rollout. They kept the traditional bbq fare but I've been trying out the newer items. And with any new menu they have increased the prices but I will say with that they have stepped up on portions and quality. They've been around for decades and I think they will continue stay a favorite in this area for years to come.

First of all, they have rebranded as "Jake's". Same great food , same great service. Same great Brunswick Stew. One change, they now serve beer and wine. Still a great choice for dining

This was my first time trying this place. Let met tell you. I was in HOG HEAVEN. The food was THE BEST BBQ I've ever had at a restaurant. The service was impeccable. It felt like we were truly cared for. The overall look and feel of the restaurant was so inviting. I was raised around trains my entire life. I'm a huge BBQ lover, so this restaurant really made my heart (and stomach) happy! I will definitely be back again in the near future.

This is a nice Rail Road Themed BBQ restaurant. The menu is varied for different tastes from burgers/salads to chicken/pulled pork, you should be able to find your taste favorites here. I thought the food was very tasty and being with a group the experience was fabulous !

Sooo yeah... this was not my cup of tea. The sweet tea was delicious!!! The banana pudding is amazing!!Everything else was okay. We were not impressed. Expected more for a BBQ place.

Driving I-85 north yelped up some BBQ as I love to get my NC pulled pork with that tangy vinegar sauce fix when back in my home state. Yelp dialed me into this roadside gem. Great service at the bar by Ms Asha. Big plate of pulled pig and two sides, beans and beans. Had to try a piece of the Coconut Cake. All so good.

As I only moved to the area a year ago, I've only been to R&R twice. My partner being a local has been many times. I can see why it's been around so long. First of all, the ambiance is as nostalgic as you're gonna get. Even after moving locations they kept up their theme to a T. It is an adorable restaurant and if you have kids, they better know about this gem. They have a railroad track with train overhead and tons of things that go with the theme. The place is big enough to accommodate any size party as well. Being that we went on a weeknight, our service was great too. The food was fresh and came out rather quickly. We got two huge plates and each tried a little of everything the first time and even had leftovers for the next day. My favorite meat was the pulled pork that I smothered in vinegar sauce and then used the sweet sauce to dip. My favorite item overall was the fried corn on the cob though. It will get stuck in your teeth though. The second time I had it was to go on a Monday night to try their Mississippi pot roast. It was great but not the same portion size you get from the bbq and I can't say that I blame them. You do get a load of mashed potatoes with it and choice of another side. It was also very flavorful. But, I'll stick to making my own. I'm looking forward to going back, this is the kind of place I'll work my way through the whole menu.

Consensus on the BBQ was good. Portions are ample and pricing is comparatively favorable with other BBQ spots. Docking a star for insisting on cooking burgers their way rather than as the customer prefers them. News flash: the customer is always right. Docking a second star for painfully slow service. It was a Saturday evening at dinner time. Major community event plus a NASCAR race taking place during dinner - why would you not staff up??? We were seated immediately. Took 20 min to get an appetizer and another 30+ to get food. Server kept trying to buy time "it's coming up now" and still took another 10 min on both the app and the meal. Be honest. And tell me when we're ordering to expect delays. (To their credit, they were telling people that who were arriving as we left.)

My husband and I as well a Lunch Crew enjoyed the rustic dining. BBQ was very tasty. The service was very good!
