Queen City Grounds

Just inside the I-277 perimeter, Queen City Grounds was super busy on a sunny Sunday morning. People sitting outside, people sitting inside. I was fortunate to find a spot at the counter to enjoy my coffee and my laptop for an hour or so.A friendly barista took my order and a few minutes later, my name was called. My latte was served in a big round mug, lots of foam on top, lots of rich creamy coffee below.A comfortable spot to sit with the laptop, this is a fun vibe and a busy place. The menu here is great. Very good coffee and espresso drinks. I LOVE the Vegan Burrito You Want! I go out of my way to get it. My only complaint is the speed of them making the burrito. It always takes a long time. Even if I order online ahead of time. But it's always great.

Pretty great staff, they take care of you and are fast at making your order!The veggie wrap was pretty good and decently filling - would definitely get it again if i need a snack while working. This was one of the new veggie options on the menu however.Good ambiance to chat with people and get work done. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was how they didn't have many comfy table chairs. They're mostly all steal chairs unless you get a seat by the window.Park in the SkyHouse apartment garage right next door to the coffee shop. It's paid parking but the coffee shop can validate parking for you

I visited on 2/14 at 9 am to support a local coffee shop. The cashier treated me terribly. She barely engaged with me. She responded rudely when I asked a question. I was basically an inconvenience to her. Thankfully, the barista was nice. Regardless, I will not be returning. Good coffee but this is the second time I've been and recall a similar situation when I went prior.

Cute studious vibe cafe in Charlotte! They have a BUNCH of food options, so I was struggling with what to get! Thank you to the barista for all the suggestions :-)The bacon egg n cheese bagel was delicious along with all the pastries I got. I definitely recommend the banana bread OMGGGG. As for the matcha, I would definitely PASS on the matcha, just get coffee from here lolllll

On a visit to Charlotte and I needed my morning caffeine. As soon as I opened the door, I was greeted by someone. I was also greeted as soon as I got to the counter. I emphasize this because these days you walk into a coffee shop, or anywhere for that matter, and you just don't know what you're going to get. The service here was excellent. "You should try this" "That's a good choice" and "You're really going to love that" are my favorite types of people at front counters, and that's what I got at Queen City Grounds. I was surprised by the amount of vegan options. I didn't even go in looking for them, but was so happy to see them. I kept it basic that day and ordered an egg, sausage (vegan), and cheese bagel. Let me tell you, this was probably the most plain looking yet mouthwatering bagel sandwich I've ever had. I also ordered a cinnamon twist. I'm so glad I didn't skip out on that because it was perfection. It was fresh with the perfect chew, and not too sweet. My Cold Brew was delightful. The soft jazz and the overall calm atmosphere make it a great way to start any morning. Thanks so much to everyone at Queen City Grounds.

No shortage of great, local, coffee shops in Charlotte, and this is one of them. Their original location is in 4th Ward under the Skyhouse apartments, they have been in business about 5 years. Their second location is slightly west of the city on Morehead. I love the coffee here, but moreso I love the vibes. The downstairs has a bar and each seat has a large window to people watch. The upstairs is quaint, tucked away, and even has a little library nook.This is one of the few shops I'm tempted to buy merch from, their logo is of an owl that is artful yet simplistic.They are open later in the day, offer a brunch menu in the morning, a later in the day menu after 3 PM, and alcohol- I assume later in the day, there is a bar with beer taps and a beer fridge. They offer events several nights of the week.Wi-Fi password is "staygrounded".They will validate parking in the Skyhouse garage for 1.5 hrs if you ask. They will hand you a receipt to have scanned upon exiting the garage.

So unfortunately, I had to work while visiting Charlotte. The good news, I got to try a new coffee shop in the process. I will say, I wasn't head over heels with the coffee. That's not saying much because I'm very picky. The breakfast sandwich however was made to perfection. I mean I couldn't put it down. The service here was also great. So although I would skip the coffee and likely just get a drink, i would definitely return for the breakfast expeditiously. I liked that there were several places to sit, especially in the upstairs area. I didn't love that the bathroom was downstairs. It basically means you have to pack up your things and march downstairs if you have to use the restroom. Otherwise, overall not a bad experience.

On a Saturday afternoon, I decided to drop by Queen City Grounds. Ordering was effortless; I opted for the Golden Chai Latte while my friend went for a Vanilla Iced Latte and the Chicken Bacon Ranch. We were impressed by the quality of both drinks, and the flatbread arrived promptly, tasting delicious. The ambiance exuded a charming and relaxed vibe, and the staff were incredibly friendly.

Delicious vegan breakfast sandwiches!! Lots of vegan options & the menu is clearly marked. They were out of vegan sausage so my husband and I both got the bacon, egg, & cheese (one on sourdough & one on an everything bagel). Both bread options were really good. I've been vegan for almost a decade and their veg bacon is the best I've had! Delicious coffee and matcha as well! They had vegan/gf cookies from Honeybear bake shop that were SO good! The service & atmosphere were great!
