Queen City Cheesesteaks

This ghost kitchen inside of the City Kitchen building is a dope concept. When you walk in, there's several tablets ordering stations of different types of food from Caribbean, soul food, cheesesteaks, vegan, and Asian food. I ordered from the big city cheesesteaks. The deluxe cheesesteak was calling my name, and boy was it worth every bite. Shave pieces of ribeye, green and red peppers, grilled onions, and I added bacon for the extra flare, but that's not the main ingredient. The choice of bread was excellent to hold up this behemoth of a cheesesteak. This was delicious and would recommend.

I went here yesterday afternoon looking over their menu and I saw they had a salmon cheesesteak, so I said I would give them a shot. Let's just say that turned out to be a good decision. I used to live in Philly so I know what a good husky cheesesteak is supposed to look, feel and taste like. They covered all 3 of those areas. One thing that I didn't like is their choice of mayo. They use Dukes which is not my first or second option if I got a choice. I like Miracle Whip or Hellmans over Dukes. Just my humble opinion but I would definitely come back and support again.

This is a ghost kitchen so you have to order and either pick up or have it delivered. You have a choice of cheeses and toppings that you can add to customize your cheesesteak. I ordered the lunch special 6 inch cheesesteak with fries and a drink for $11. The ribeye was tender, bread was soft and the fries were nice and crispy. I'll definitely be ordering again.

True to Philly style cheesesteaks. That's all you can ask for. Seasoned steak, whiz, and onions on an amoroso roll. If you want a true Philly steak that isn't in Philly, get one here. This place and Cheats are serving up amazing cheesesteaks try them out. Take it from a guy who has been to Philly many times. I'm a very hardcore cheesesteak fan ;)

Queen City Cheesesteaks is located in the City Kitchen on Thrift Road. This is a Ghost Kitchen that does have some seating usually. Currently they are doing renovations so the seating is unavailable at the time I writing this review so it is just takeout. As someone who relocated here from the Philly area I will say these cheesesteaks are one of the best that Charlotte has to offer. The meat is chopped up into small pieces just how I personally like it. The major deficiency here in Charlotte in general when it comes to cheesesteaks is the bread that is used, other than that everything was perfect here at Queen City Cheesesteaks. The cheesesteaks are also hefty, so you get your money's worth, the prices are definitely fair. They don't just have cheesesteaks. Their top seller are their mambo wings and their assortment of egg rolls are delicious as well. This is a family owned business. The Owner is really nice and is assisted by his son and daughter. I will add this my places on my very short list of where to get cheesesteaks in Charlotte and will definitely be back.

This is a really easy review to write because this place makes it very easy. I ordered a small traditional cheesesteak with extra provolone cheese. It came out in 15 minutes or so, piping hot, prepare correctly and it was consumed in 15 minutes flat. Definitely will try out there other varieties of cheesesteaks the next time. I'm in the mood for one. Would definitely recommend this place. Keep in mind that is part of a ghost kitchen and you have to place your order either on phone or on a screen when you go inside. Be prepared to wait it if there is a lot of traffic, but there are plenty of restaurants, including a couple of cool spots that you can have a drink or two while you wait.

The food and service was excellent, I was treated very well and the people that work there are very friendly. Other than the great customer service the food was excellent and well prepared. Will definitely come back for more!!

best cheesesteak since Delessandro's in Philly. wish I took a pic. the fact it was grub hub delivery at work and still that good....outstanding. def worth a try and I'll be back! def photo next time.

My first time ordering from this restaurant was today (4/9/2024) via the LunchDrop service. I chose the chicken cheesesteak and paid .50 extra to add sweet peppers . I did not get what I paid for. What's the point of offering a product, charging extra for it, then not providing it ? And when I reported it, the man who answered the phone tells me - well, if you order with us next time you can get extra fries or cookie. Well, that's not what I paid extra for, and that's not what I wanted. I paid extra for a product I didn't receive. At least make it right, right now. So basically he told me to screw off in so many words. No offer to make it over/make it right, no refund - partial or otherwise. I held up my end of the bargain and submitted legal tender for a service/product. They didn't hold up their end by providing good or competent service. They got paid for mediocrity, and they don't care. Customer service R.I.P. I won't be ordering from there again. I agreed to pay extra for a product I didn't receive, then got the shaft. We have to stop accepting mediocre service. The fries were awful (they reminded me of those fries BK used to have), the cookie was dry and reminded me of a doorstopper. They advertise the chicken as being fresh...yeah, maybe a couple of days ago because it definitely wasn't the case today. I was sorely disappointed with my first time ordering from QCCS. I do not recommend this restaurant. With a name like Queen City Cheesesteak, you would think they could get the one thing they want to be known for correct.

I just had the chicken-mushroom cheesesteak and it was soooo good! The chicken was well-seasoned without being salty. The chicken, mushroom and cheese on the sandwich was just perfect. The bread was soft and fresh. I will definitely be back and will try some other menu items. Sorry i didn't get a pic before i devoured it
