Que Onda

Time after time regardless of dinner rush or just about closing time, these guys hit home run after home run. The food is always perfection! Flavor, presentation, even in the to go boxes it looks incredible! Inside is usually a smooth experience with great waitstaff and a medium noise level, of course at peak hours and during special occasions it's a little louder but in no way shape or form does that stop the team from performing excellently. Bella took care of us she was amazing. Visited this place a while ago, decided to try it again while my bestie was in town. She had the Arroz Con Polo Bowl with steak and I the special, which was $5 small nachos with chicken. Also can't forget 1/2 price tequila. We were told the tequila mix is made in-house so that's kind of cool. It was delicious! Nice good portions so you will definitely be able totake some home. I love they this place is nearby it has a friendly atmosphere. If you're looking for good Mexican food try it I won't wait so long to check them out again

This spot came highly recommended by Charlotte locals. It lived up to it! It's a cozy atmosphere with modest decor. The queso is very thin yet delicious. I did end up ordering a second order to dip my meal in because it's a small portion. The sorbet margarita comes with real soft serve and the quesadilla was delicious. The server was attentive and transparent about any kitchen issues. This will be a frequent haunt for my husband and I. Be sure to check out their daily specials as they have great deals!

Unfortunately, my friend and I had a disappointing time at Que Onda. We came to celebrate my friend's birthday and our experience fell pretty flat overall. When we first arrived, we were seated promptly and greeted by a server. We ordered several different types of margaritas with different flavor options. All of them were watered down and didn't taste great. Not the worst margarita I've ever had but no where near the best either. You also couldn't really tell there was alcohol in them, which was disappointing. For food, we ordered the chicken quesadilla and the arroz con pollo bowl. Both of our meals were decent but again not great - just okay. Service-wise: our server barely stopped by our table to check on us. Eventually the manager had to take over as it just kept being problems after problems. Manager was nice and helpful tho! After a disappointing first visit, I probably won't be back as there's better places to grab Mexican food from.

My fiancé and I went twice this week. Sunday for some beers and chips and guacamole (which was fresh!). Second time we went Tuesday for the Taco Special. My favorite the carnitas!! Great service seeing how busy they were. Really good, definitely will go back.

Is it possible for a restaurant to get even better?!? We are blessed to have Que Onda as a neighborhood staple for the Highland Creek area. The service is as great as the food. Our last visit was a Friday night. It was very crowded. So we opted for seats at the bar. There are screens above the bar to watch whatever sporting event is on. Our server did a great job of waiting on us without making us feel rushed. I went with the salad instead of my usual tacos. And I did not regret it! The salad was soooo good and very filling. Run don't walk ...to check out this neighborhood gem!

So delicious! My family and I were absolutely blown away by this place. The food was superb. We had the chicken enchiladas with the chicken tinga and salsa verde (10/10) and the frozen margarita flights and AMAZING! The service was incredible and very hospitable and the ambiance was very nice. I would highly recommend.

Boris is the best Bartender!! we love this place and Boris is great. we always sit at the bar. it's a home away from home.

I came in looking for my favorite dish la torta cubana and I found out it was off the menu I also had the hopes of drinking a cold agua de horchata and they didn't have any I was shocked to hear that I was really disappointed which is why I am leaving this review.

I came. And I finished. There was no cubana, which I was really looking forward too, and on top of that they ran outta horchata, I'm upset, the restaurant is good and all employees are nice. Just wish they still had the Torta cubana and horchata
