Que Fresa - Uptown

Been waiting for Que Fresa to open, and the taste preceded my visit, so many people told me how good it was. I was excited to try for myself. Staff was super friendly! The mgr Krisya was so friendly and made her rounds through the restaurant making guests feel welcomed. The menu looks amazing but I saw them preparing a steak burrito bowl and I couldn't resist - ordered mine with shrimp. It was tasty! The shrimp were sizable and seasoned well. I ordered strawberry aqua Fresca. That was absolutely delicious. You'll find this gem on College street across from the convention center, tucked in the back of the Duke Energy building. Lunchtime was packed and I think it will continue to be that way, because a grab and go Mexican concept was sorely missing in this part of uptown.

I went to Que Fresa and it was so yummy! I ordered a margarita mocktail and I should have asked her what she used! All I know is she put club soda in it and it was super spicy. It was the best mocktail I've ever had. I also ordered the birria crunch wrap and although it was greasy (hello birria) it was pure perfection. We also ordered their chips and salsa and it was amazing too. The restaurant was clean and had plenty of seating.The only reason I give it 4 out of 5 is because I parked in the parking deck next to the restaurant, and found out that they don't validate. I ended up paying $30 for 2 hours. I'm sick!!!!! Other than that it was great. Just try to find street parking.

Saw this place when they had their grand opening but never stopped by until today. They have great lunch deals! Priced reasonable at around $10 and good portions. I tried the lunch fajita bowl - just as it is with all the toppings included. Not sure if you can customize (ex: black beans for pinto) but the standard bowl itself was good as is. You get your choice of protein and I chose the tinga chicken which is pretty much pulled chicken. Also, free guac?? Yes please. The bowl is tasty and you can also ask for salsa with it as well. Service was fast and everyone was friendly. Not bad for a quick lunch.. will definitely try the tacos next!

Came to the grand opening and enjoyed myself! Their tacos were delicious! The drinks were very good and the inside was well decorated. I will come back here for their happy hour specials for sure! I tried their corn ribs as well! Great option! Their queso is pretty good too! I highly recommend this restaurant for lunch or a taco Tuesday deal! The service was very friendly and helpful as well!

A great spot that seems like it just opened. I had two tacos: Salmon and Campechano. Both were good, but the Campechano was outstanding. I also got the Corn Ribs and the Quattro Leches and I will definitely order both on my next visit which, honestly, might be tomorrow. Others in our party enjoyed the bowls as well as The Roasted Shrooms, Pork Belly and La Snitch tacos. Everyone said they'd be returning. The service was exceptional and the place was very clean. Bright decor and luchador masks as well! My only minor complaint is the water off the fountain drink station had a bit of a taste to it. Highly Recommended.

Kayla and Naomi provided a great experience, but the standout was Krisya, the manager. She was incredibly friendly and attentive, making the visit even more enjoyable.The Birria Crunch Wrap, Baja Fish Taco, Frescas, and margaritas were all outstanding!

Second location of Que Fresa. So chic inside and convenient for walking traffic. Parking can be a challenge but when in uptown venture here. Sexy food and drinks. Tasty and adventurous. Love the corn ribs, preppy tacos and they now have all day breakfast items. Can you say breakfast burrito at 6pm! Yes please. Service is quick and knowledgeable.

The food was fantastic and each of my tacos had a unique flavor to them. The corn ribs are a must try and really delicious. This has been absolutely one of the better places to eat around the convention center and the prices are pretty good for what you get. I will definitely be coming back!

Food took 35 minutes despite not being busy and everyone else getting their food within 5-10 minutes and getting the same amount of food. Customer service was good, but the food wasn't cooked for the proper amount of time. It was hard and dry.
