Q Tavern

After a long day of traveling I do mean a long day of travel. I ended up ordering something from this place because I was too tired to go out and get anything and I didn't feel like ordering anything in. I ordered the seafood platter which consisted of fried flounder, shrimp and crinkly cut fries. The fried flounder and catfish were okay. I do wish they would have provided me some type of condiments. Like some ketchup, mayonnaise, honey mustard something would have been nice. The coleslaw that came with the platter was actually pretty good. Dare to say it was the best thing with the meal.

8.99 plus tax will get you a roll, side and 8 pieces of chicken, not chicken wings but legs thighs and wings. Not bad. I only gave it a 4 because they are slipping on the chicken. You have done better. I think it was fried a little too long, but still tasty. The sweet potato fries was not soaked in cinnamon and butter but you still could taste the flavor. I miss the buffet

Let me start, my reviews are mostly about services. It's all about very good or very bad. No in between. Server/bartender (deshaun I believe)Very lazy. I asked for a drink menu and he stated no drink menu we have a full bar. I asked about a certain drink and acted like I was speaking a different language. I got my drinks and after I paid him, he brought my change but he also kept some of my change. No that's stealing, but it's all good.I don't like devious individuals. The sad part, I've stayed at this hotel before and it's really have done down. But this is separate from hotel. This is all on the restaurant/bar. It's horrible service!!!Ps The manager can reach out to me on this issue, I'm open arms!!!

Once again, the diverse Yelpers are either 1 or 2 stars or 4 or 5 stars. This is a solid 3 star joint. I gave them a 4th star for their support of local craft breweries. They have several very good craft beers on tap and sell growlers.I had jury duty. The courthouse has really awful food and Q Tavern gives a 20% discount for jury duty! Yes. Score. They have a buffet that is actually pretty descent. The salad bar has all the essentials, The place was rather busy, therefore the turnover was quick, ensuring fresh stuff --- the lettuce and romaine bowls were green not pink :-).They also had a chicken fajita bar, chicken noodle soup (it was yummy) and a nacho bar. Check out my nacho photo..... Good stuff.The service was hard core 2 star, I agree with the other Yelpers, the service is terrible. I had to ask for silverware and drink refills. The server was just slow and in her own little world, it was almost a bother for her to actually service the tables. Whatever! I guess for an $8 AYCE w/drink - what do you expect? To be fair, the manager was great. He had a smile on his face, talked to customers and was going around behind the servers cleaning up tables and helping out.

Located in the Fairfield Inn, it's a perfect place to come if you're a guest, or if you're nearby. The staff are all so friendly and make you feel welcome from the minute you sit down. There is happy hour from 5-6 PM with half off appetizers and discounted drink specials. Definitely one of the better hotel restaurants I've been to and enjoyed!

This restaurant is now back open with social distancing in place. Just had the spinach salad with blackened mahi mahi. Honestly wasn't sure if I'd like it but omg it was sooooooo good!!!! Comes with sliced almonds, strawberries , onion and bacon. Paired it with raspberry vinaigrette. Delicious!! Great staff. Very friendly.

Good hotel bar/tavern. Hotel does an hour long happy hour. Also have a pretty good wine and cheese setup that starts at 5pm where they give out a variety of reds and cheeses along with grapes and strawberries. Staff is really friendly here. Myself and my team had the wings which were very good as an appetizer. They also have Mountain Dew which is a favorite of one of my employees so he was extremely happy. I did the blackened chicken fettuccine Alfredo which was vert good. One of my guys had the cod and the other had the bbq chicken. The a la carte entrees come with two sides which both of my team had mac n cheese and vegetables. They wee very satisfied.

Decor and seating are good, the waitperson ignored me for reasons unknown. Another waitperson recognized the situation and handled it well. The menu is filled with various sandwiches and salads at reasonable prices. Different specials available weekdays. Directly across the street from the Mecklenburg County Courthouse.

When we walked through the door. I just knew EXCEPTIONAL was the only option. The ambiance is breath taking. The greeting and service was a little average but accommodating. The food is very below average. My husband had the Cobb salad, which was mostly lettuce. My simple fish sandwich and fries where presented nicely but the quality was very poor. Would not recommend if you are looking for a place to eat, but if you are looking for just a place to have a drink with a friend, this just maybe the perfect spot. But I would not recommend eating here. We won't dine again

Service was good and friendly. The food wasn't good. Chicken Marsala came out less than ten minutes after ordering which made me skeptical. Two chicken breasts, one over cooked, the other was fine. Vegetables were chewy and soggy. Mashed potatoes were okay. Felt more like a diner than a restaurant for dinner. It's inside the Fairfield and has a bar, but I suggest going elsewhere.
