Potbelly BBQ

Potbelly BBQ came out to an event at work. It was a one-man show but very efficient. The menu that day was either pulled pork or smoked chicken and a variety of sides. I got the smoked chicken sandwich and baked beans. The smoked chicken was tender, smoky and topped with a tangy peppery barbecue sauce. It was a little more sauce than I wanted, but still delicious. The baked beans were also good with the same barbecue flavor mixed in. I'd eat from this truck again. For a food truck, it was very fast service which was great on a very cold day.

On a weekend visit to the Charlotte Regional Farmers Market - PotBelly BBQ's truck was there. My son was hungry and after some shopping, lunch was very appropriate. We ordered a pork sandwich plate with slaw and a side of mac and cheese. The pork was tender and flavorful with the perfect amount of sauce. Not too sweet or tart - the harmony of balance in their sauce made it a winner. The slaw was super fresh and tasty as well. My 8 year old was adamant that he didn't like cole slaw until he tried this one. The max and cheese was so hood. Slightly Smokey, very creamy without being too rich, and the pasta cooked perfectly.

I found this food truck at President James K Polk's Historic Site. They weren't scheduled to be here today. However, another BBq food truck was supposed to be here for the festival. But, that food truck called and cancelled today at 10:30am. So, this food truck got the call and they gladly showed up within a half hour. I'm glad they did too. I wanted their BBq pulled pork sandwich but they were out of them. So, I chose their BBq chicken sandwich which is fixed just like their BBq sandwiches. And that includes slaw and BBq sauce added on a hamburger bun. I was pleasantly surprised that this sandwich was delicious. The BBq chicken was tender and the homemade slaw created a delectable sandwich especially with the BBq sauce added to it. I liked their BBq sauce too.Service was fast and friendly. As you can tell, the food truck guy was talkative. That's how I found out all this information. I'm glad they showed up for this festival. I didn't even know food trucks were going to be here. Anyway, Potbelly BBq is out of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Look no further for the best BBQ every. We have had them come to our office parking lot a couple of times now and love love love the food.

The food is outstanding ! All freshly smoked and sides are made every day. The food has the best flavor and perfect balance of smoke and dry rub mix. The BBQ pulled pork sandwich with a touch of Sweet Baby Rays is just enough to make you want more. Add a side of smoked Mac and cheese and you won't ever eat BBQ anywhere els!

Owner Doug says that I have his truck mixed up with another one. I do not. Doug gets pretty good reviews. The problem is with my expectations based upon experience with truly good barbecue restaurants throughout my life. Potbelly bbq is OK tasting but the portions are very small and pricey. They did sell a smoky mac and cheese at one time and they portioned it like it was GOLD. I might give him another chance by purchasing a sandwich (only) but I suspect portions have not changed.

We just used Potbelly BBQ food truck for a multiple location/multiple day event and Doug was spot on with everything from fast responses to quick service and great food. He was prompt and ready to go for each day ahead of time and a real pleasure to work with. We will definitely be using Potbelly again for future events.

Fantastic bbq that our customers LOVED! The smoked Mac and cheese was DELICIOUS and is now my favorite way to have enjoy Mac and cheese. I highly recommend. Doug and his wife served 120+ people in record timing and did it the entire time with a smile. We will definitely recommend and will be using again. This team is legit!!!!**SPECIAL NOTE - after the event had finished, myself and a colleague stopped by to chat with Doug. He informed us that his children both serve the country; one in the military and one in law enforcement. This is one proud family that you can tell values taking care of others. Great stuff, guys. I would highly recommend Potbelly BBQ!!! Doug was wonderful to work with!! He provided BBQ for a post wedding celebration with over 100 people!! Everyone loved his BBQ and especially loved his macaroni and cheese!! My guests commented how friendly Doug was and how the food was the best BBQ they have ever had!! He was prompt and it took less than an hour to serve everyone!! I give him 10 stars!!! Thank you Doug for a wonderful experience with our first time using a food truck!!
