First visit and I would go back without hesitation. Service wax attentive food came to the table hot and fresh.I had chicken parm made with chicken breast not pressed patties, large portion with almost too much sauce. The breading on the chicken got lost in the sauce, but it was very good. Wife asked if they'd make fettuccine Alfredo with grilled shrimp, they did and she loved it. Slight up charge for the shrimp but reasonable.Wine list was OK, the prices were very good per bottle.Great area, its in a open walking mall area so you could do some shopping then dinner. Give them a try.

Nice atmosphere l, not too noisy with nice background music. Took two young ones out, and staff was able to make child portions for them.Chicken parm sub was tasty and filling. Ordered fries, they were soggy and mushy. Seems like this could be a great date night spot.

We met another couple here on a Friday night and were easily seated. Parking is simple since there is a parking deck and a couple of spaces directly in front of the restaurant if you're lucky. Our waitress was a bit absent-minded but very sweet (we asked her 3x for a to go container). We had a very pleasant meal. I got the salmon penne with mushrooms and cream sauce. It had good flavor, and even better when I heated the leftovers the next day. Hubby got the stuffed shells and said it was good. Our companions got the seafood pasta and the lobster ravioli special. She said the lobster ravioli was great and her husband liked his seafood pasta. It was such a huge quantity on his plate, I doubt anyone could eat it all. I like the cozy atmosphere here. There are both booths and tables available. The decor is serene. This is a solid place to get decent American Italian food.

I love this place. It's authentic and fast service. Staff are so nice. The calzone is my son's fave and it's enormous. It's a great place to take the family and portions are great. I often get the chicken parm and that chicken is HUGE. They pound it out flat and it's nearly as big as a normal sized dinner plate. You can't go wrong. They speak Italian so be careful if you order mozzarella sticks because if you say cheese sticks, you will be getting bread with cheese on top - lol

We tried to get in the bar next door but the wait was over an hour. I had veal saltenboca, and my work companion had the shrimp linguini. Prices were reasonable. Came w a salad. Her dish looked good. My veal was a lot to eat but didn't have the spinich they promised. Cheese and ham were minimal. It was o, nothing special. Came w small bread loaf on the table. An iced tea was 4.5, which is high. The meall was under 20 dollars for each main dish.

It was ok. I was expecting better. someone had said they were just the best. The spaghetti was reheated and I find that so odd when it only takes 2 minutes to cook thin spaghetti. I had the eggplant parm and I guess they use flour in Planck of bread crumbs. It was ok, but when I send over 60.00 for dinner, I expect it to be better then I can make at home.My husband had the veal parm and his was tasty. Maybe I should have tried a different dish, but I ill not be running back

I ordered eggplant parm and it was ok, certainly a lot of it but the seasoning was non existent. My server Jose was very very good however! Loved chatting with him about my hometown ATL. Would return just for him

A classic American Italian restaurant, Portofino's biggest claim to fame is probably its portion sizes. Most entrees can easily be split between two people. For appetizers, the bruschetta and the fried calamari are both good. I love spice and seafood, so the shrimp fra diavolo is my favorite pasta entree. The service is friendly and they are very welcoming to families, especially if they dine in early. They also have a full bday, including peroni on tap.

The star is for our waitress and the fact that their food is actually very good. Took my friend here for her birthday, which just so happened to be 10 days after her mom passed, and we had to really encourage her to get out of her house. We arrived at 7:30 and it took about 15-20 minutes for anyone to even approach our table. Our lovely waitress apologized when she arrived at our table to get drinks started. At this time there was about 6 other tables.Fast forward to getting our food at around 8:15 and we started to eat, all of the other tables at this point had left which is when we realized the music had already been turned off so it was pin drop quiet outside of our table- extremely uncomfortable. Before we finished our first slice of pizza one of the staff started putting all of the chairs up on the tables around us. It was extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable. At this point, 8:30pm, 30 minutes before they closed we asked for boxes to take our now no longer hot food home to eat. We will never return. In a near recession where funds are not always available for eating out, this would not be a recommendation.Go to Sal's
