Very cool place. I love a buy a bottle off of the shelf & drink it while there! The locals seem to love this place. I went on a early Sunday game night. And did some laptop work. It was too busy, but you can tell this place can get busy! Not a huge wine selection but just enough to have all the choices you need! Beer, wine, & a few other interesting items. No food, but you can order nearby & bring in. I ordered pizza $12 from Blaze Pizza! It was amazing! I always asked to have my pizza cut in small squares! Better for easy grabbing.Parking can be a challenge. I walked about 3 blocks. Couldn't find a close park. Then I saw a retail parking garage I believe after the fact!

I came here with my mom for a quick drink and to stay out of the cold. It's a very chill spot in South End. Not than many people were here when we got here which was a plus. The only downside was that you couldn't sample the beers. Kind of stinks because you don't know if you got something you would like or not. I'm not too picky so it worked out fine for me with the IPA I decided to get.

Low key spot in South End with draft beer and many can varieties. I ordered Rhymes like dimes and Toppling Goliath King Sue both recommendations by the staff. Good beer and friendly staff.

The is a local, low key shop in South End. Avoid the crowds, pick up a board game or two and hang here. The upside, the music is good, there's seating indoors and outside, but be aware that this place is small. It was raining this night so everyone from outside came in and the tables were all taken. There could be more selection on the wine and beer, but there's something for everyone.

Zdravstvuyte my YELP Foodie Gang and let me tell you, if you fancy craft beer, smashing service, and a pristine, spotless atmosphere/setting, then Pop the Top Craft Beer Shop will effectuate those constituents. I have been a LOYAL customer of this establishment since the inception of it. Pop The Top is conveniently located in South End in a multi-use building/apartment complex, Camden Gallery, situated on West Blvd/Camden Rd. It's kind of hard to miss if you don't "look" for it. Hahaha. Pop The Top is owned by Ketan who is an AMAZING HUMAN BEING/friend to me and he really knows his information when it comes to the world of suds. He collects the BEST BEER, especially sours, that are offered in our reality/world and conveniently stores/sells & provides them for our enjoyment. Pop The Top literally has EVERY kind of such as Pale Lager, Pilsner, Dark Lager, German Bock, Brown Ale, Pale Ale, India Pale Ale. Porter, Stout, Belgian-Style Ale, Wheat Beer, Wild & Sour Ale, Specialty Beer, and PROBABLY more. The place is immaculately maintained and is presumably the cleanest bottle shop/bar in Charlotte. I've never seen the bathrooms dirty, smutty glasses around the premises, and filthy and foul floors + it always smells clean and pure. All in all, Pop The Top is absolutely one of my beloved and dear institutions and I will continue to endorse and sustain this business for sure! Cheers Mate$! ...::: Trey :::... O_o

I get the whole craft beer craze and all, but sometimes some brewers can take it over the top with all of these flavors and such that can actually be off-putting instead of revolutionary and this place is one of those places. We had stopped in via a recommendation from a co-worker that this was the place to go for our outing and there was at least several of us that just didn't like what we were drinking.Again, I am not new to craft beers, there are those that know what they are doing and then there are some that don't, and these guys don't, or at least what I was drinking. Again, there were several of us that had the same sentiment. The last thing is this place if freakin small, unless you want to hangout on the patio.

This cool little place is in an area with other beer shop options. And they hold their own against the more well heeled spots. Love the vibe of the spot and there's always someone there willing to spare up a convo with a stranger. Great selection and friendly service make this one of my favorite places to grab a cold one in the neighborhood. Locally owned makes it even better.

Pop the Top Craft Beer Shop recently opened in the South End area of Charlotte, NC around June 2017. I was in Charlotte for a business trip and popped in for a visit.According to their website, the business is owned by Ketan and Kathy with offerings of handpicked craft beers and wine of North and South Carolinas. Their logo is a tribute to their late black Labrador, Louie, who taught them to slow down and enjoy the simpler things in life. I love it!At the time of the visit, I chose a beer tasting and ordered the following:- Quest Brewing Company - Golden Fleece BPA (Belgian Pale Ale)- Lazy Hiker Brewing Company - Pomegranate Gorge (Fruit Beer)- Broomtail Craft Brewery - I'll Take a Mulligan (Rye Beer)- Ass Clown Brewing Company - Double Cheek IPA (Imperial / Double)Tip:- Outside Patio area is Dog Friendly!!- Free parking in adjacent garage!!ENJOY!!
