Pomodoro's Italian American Cafe

I highly recommend!Great for large groups or an intimate dinner date! Cesar salad was great, can't beat a classic! The salt and pepper fried calamari was delicious, fried crispy but not dry! Perfect. I ordered the Penne Alla Vodka with chicken tenders. The pasta was good chicken tenders crispy and tasteful. Went on a Friday night not busy and attentive.

I have to say, I've loved Pomodoro's food and service since they were across the street by Kohls. I have been a fan of their pizza, for sure. I ordered a Sicilian pizza on Friday for pick up. 2 things lead me to this review- I am 100% against junk fees. There are fees (I believe $1.99, can't remember exactly) and a mandatory "restaurant tip" of 15% on take out orders. These are in addition to the tax. I am not against restaurants charging what they need to for their food, but build it into the price, don't hide it in fees. Strike 1. Second, sausage and mushrooms added to the basic Sicilian pizza. $2.50 each. While I do believe this is a little high, for mushrooms especially, I was ok paying to add them. When I got home I was really upset with the lack of quantity of toppings for 5 bucks. Strike 2The pizza itself was good, well prepared and flavorful. The tactics of charging fees and skimping on toppings might prevent me from visiting again. Again, charge what you need to for a quality product. Pomodoros has a great reputation and history in the area. Hopefully they get back to their roots in quality.

I visited Pomodoroa while waiting for my movie to start next door. It was a GREAT experience. The service was quick and friendly. The place was clean although I didn't use the restrooms. The decor inside was warming. They have a seating area and also a room for private parties! The restaurant is located in a shopping center so there's plenty of parking.

I've enjoyed many meals here and today I ordered a salad with grilled chicken. For the price of $17.00 I expected more! I expected a little more chicken and some of the lettuce was slimy. There were a few smatterings of black olives but not a lot. Our server took a long time to check on us and bring a check. The chicken didn't have a lot of flavor.

Saw this place recommended online and decided to give it a try. End up to be one of the best Italian restaurants I ever been to. Delicious authentic Italian meal in Pomodoros. Simple, nothing fancy but they do it right. Pasta are al dente, meat are tender, seafood seems fresh and crisp. Big portion but reasonable priced. Great service too, waiter always come by and check on you.

Some friends and I met at Pomodoro's before a movie last night. I was nicely surprised at the quick and courteous service and the delicious food. I ordered the raspberry salmon salad, which was really good! The salmon was blackened and cooked perfectly. I appreciate that our server asked how I like it prepared (medium rare). I've been to a lot of upscale restaurants in this area, and l many of them overcook the salmon. One of my friends had the small hand tossed pizza with pepperoni and sausage. It looked and smelled delicious. And it was huge! Pomodoro's is definitely worth a try, folks!

I've eaten here many times! I love Italian and it's as good as Caruso's but less expensive.

Came in on a Sunday after church. Relaxing atmosphere with good music. Service was good and food was fantastic.

Service, ambiance was 4 star as was the sauce and desert regotta cake. Wife had tomato soup which was excellent. I ordered chicken parmigiana. The sauce and pasta above par the chicken itself was beyond tough had to ask for a steak knife to cut but that failed. Wife had chicken Alfredo again sauce and pasta above par but chicken was extremely tough , didn't finish. House salad was fresh and tasty

I've been going to Pomodoro's for twenty years, starting when it was at a different location. Food is great. Salads are amazing. Now it's right beside the movie theatre so it's a great spot for dinner before a movie. Service is great. Atmosphere is casual so it's not fine dining or a place to go when dressed up, but it's a very nice casual restaurant with great food.
