Player's Ridge Golf

Quiet little golf club and restaurant on Lake Hickory; friendly service and good food. The place was not very busy sans 10+ people enjoying card night. I had the chopped Cobb salad , which was good. We also had the steak; which was ok and the Chicken Parm - very good. For the price this is a great place; wonderful atmosphere, friendly bar service and good food. Definitely a place to keep in mind for special events and large parties.

Great coarse in great shape... get out and play to see for yourself. If I lived closer I'd play here all the time, but definitely worth the drive to get up a play a different track that is in great shap.

I love this course and I always have, but it's disappointing to see what appears to be them going downhill. The course on Saturday was not kept up. The rough didn't appear to have been recently trimmed and the lake on the back 9 was drained with hoses running full blast into it. It was also empty on a Saturday at 11. That can't be good.I really hope this place is able to stay in business because the layout has always been a blast.

We absolutely love Ole Still Golf Club. My husband enjoys playing in the beautiful rolling hills and the rates are great. The food at the clubhouse is really good; everything we have tasted so far is delicious, specially the breakfast and the Thai food. They also have outdoor sitting and are dog-friendly. Highly recommend!!

I was lucky to get a tee time on 04/13/2023 after a mess up at GolfNow and found a tee time at Player's Ridge. i really enjoyed the layout. the course is set up well and very enjoyable. Some of the greens did not fair to well after the winter. I hope they come back soon. I will be back to play it later this summer once the grass comes in. The staff was very pleasant and quite friendly. I wish I lived closer to play it more often. it has a potential for a great course if a little more money was invested in the course it would be outstanding.

The restaurant was very mediocre. More suited as an snack bar than a restaurant for dinner. Was much better before the change of ownership.

It took us three hours to play nine holes. The play was really slow. There where two groups of five playing in front of us.

Played this course on Friday September 1st. The greens were in Great Shape and were rollingnicely. Fairways also in very good shape.You can tell that have made improvements to this course over the last year. Staff very friendly. Clubhouse food good. Cart paths in need of patching...But other than that we had a great time and will definitely play there again.

This has been one of my favorite courses to play but lack of maintenance, Sand bunkers and general cartpath condition is poor.
