I'm not sure how I've been here for seven months now living this close to this place and haven't tried it before now. Really disappointing actually as this place is excellent!I had the Philly cheesesteak and the wife had the gyro and both were very very good. The french fries were awesome! It definitely seems like the owners of this place are probably from somewhere up in the northeast as their menu offers pretty much anything you could want from American to Greek to breakfast/brunch etc. This is definitely going on our list of go to restaurants!

CHECK THE "SPECIALS BOARD"! They have some seasonal specialty items like apple dumplings, pumpkin rolls, pepperoni rolls (WV style) and I'm sure much more. We've only been here for breakfast a few times but apparently everyone knows about this place because it has always been packed but not so much where we didn't get a seat right away. The servers are very attentive but not overly so. Doesn't seem like the same staff of previous reviews. It was a very pleasant experience each time.It very much a diner style environment. They have a bar with 4 seats, several large booths for larger groups of 6, more tables scattered around, and a few picnic tables outside. The food and prices are fantastic. The first time we went, I thought the biscuits and gravy were the best I have had in a long time and reminded me of the gravy I grew up eating. Huge chunks of sausage and the best gravy consistency and taste. The second time it wasn't as wowing to me but possibly because the temperature seemed to be off and it wasn't hot. They did remedy that and it won't keep me from ordering it again and again. It is delicious. I might recommend getting the gravy on the side to keep it nice and hot. Maybe that was the difference. The grits are fantastic as well. Everything about them was perfect. I LOVE grits! I didn't put anything in them, just kept them plain because they were so good. Adding anything would have ruined it for me. Eat them first while they are hot. So so good! The biscuits are delicious. The pancakes were good. The eggs are cooked to order. The breakfast potatoes had great flavor. Coffee fit the bill. The breakfast sandwich on the biscuit will be next. Looks so good.

Food is consistently good and you are always greeted by staff as you walk in the door. We stop in for breakfast a couple of times per month and have had lunch here a few times. They keep your cup filled and routinely offer a to go beverage. The dining area is relatively small but there are additional tables available outside if you don't mind the parking lot view.

The food was good, service good, menu not as clear as it should be. 2 egg special with home fries or grits, toast or biscuit, tomato for 7.99 but the tomato is 2.99 (too much for 4 medium slices) My husband got the french toast with 2 eggs and bacon. It was good. Also there is a 3.95$ charge if you use a credit card but there is a note on the door clearly stating this. So if you add drinks and a generous tip Breakfast for 2 will run about $25-30.

power went out at the house so I went out too. pulled up here about 8:00 and a car hop came over to explain my options. after going over the various permutations (several types of breads, a host of proteins, some dairy, and few styles of potatoes) I went with the sausage links, egg, and cheese on a muffin (wanted banana nut, settled for english.) quite please with how it came out, tasted as good as it photographed. yea for hot food and more coffee!liked PicNik's more better before the plague but still like it well enough now. PicNik's is a staple of the local dining scene with diners coming and going throughout the day but really big on breakfast. it's a local joint with hi-cal options plus carry out and curb service which is especially useful now.

Pretty bad... had breakfast this morning. The potatoes are precooked and bad flavor and consistency.I asked if they had butter before I ordered and the waitress said yes. She doesn't know the difference between butter and the cheapest margarine that can be bought.Overall it was pitiful. Save your money. McDonald's is a real treat compared to this place!

Awesome little spot hidden away in Mooresville! All the food was great and French toast special didn't disappoint, the food came out fast and hot without issue. The staff was sweet as well, they checked on us plenty and made sure we had everything from the second we walked in till we walked out.I really enjoyed that they offered to fill drinks and add a lid to go after we had finished eating. It's a small thing but gave a nice final Interaction.

PicNik's has a big menu for breakfast and lunch as well as daily specials. The food is delicious, the portions are generous and you will love the staff. It's located just off Hwy 150 in Mooresville in the Food Lion Center. Lisa is the owner, a talented cook herself. Give PicNik's a try!

We eat at PicNik's at least monthly. Food is always good and the servers are very friendly. My issue is a $3.95 charge for using a credit card. I may be off a little but I believe a business pays around 3% when a patron uses a card. If I figure right on a bill of $130 the $3.95 charge would be a break even for the restaurant. Anything less would be a profit. My bill for two was $28. To use a credit card our cost would be over 12%. I went to Food Lion and bought something so I get some cash back to pay my bill.
