Petit Philippe Fine Wine

Phenomenal wine bar! I go to the South End location and the man there is always so kind and incredibly knowledgable. He walks you through each wine perfectly. Their wine tastings change weekly and are so fun to sit and just talk wine. You gotta go!

Very pleasant tasting. Great atmosphere and convenient parking lot behind building. One handicap spot in small front lot otherwise requires steps if parking in back lot. Kind of expensive at $28 for tasting of 4 wines. We were celebrating a birthday so it was a special occasion.

Had the best time wine tasting at this super quaint fine wine boutique shop. I had no idea what it would be like when I booked it for a birthday afternoon, but we had so much fun. Naquan was a fantastic host and wine specialist, he was really knowledgeable about the wines, and very passionate about what he does. It's a tiny venue, no more than 8 people can really fit in here unless you choose to use their outside space. We had 7 inside and it was perfect. They allow you to bring in outside food as they don't serve any. Go across to the salted melon market if you want to get something. I had emailed them earlier to ask about the wine tasting and book it and they were very cool about letting me select what I wanted to be in the tasting. He picked some great wines, we really enjoyed them. They have fantastic glasses too! They have a great variety available for sake, with prices ranging from affordable to very high end! It was a really nice classy affair, and I would most certainly do this again, reasonable prices, $45 plus tax and tip per person. Perfect fun Sunday afternoon.

My boyfriend and I loved this place!! The boat was so polite and gave us so much information about the area and the wines. We will definitely be back!

Most of the reviews are greater than 2 years ago I have never felt very welcomed as a customer here. The owner is not friendly except when it is time to pay. This is a great area for a wine shop to thrive if only this shop would up its game and not come across as so pretentious. Your wines are just okay....

Petit Philippe has a wonderful selection of wines from Oregon, California and Europe. Every price point is covered from an inexpensive "drink it tonight" wine to something you'd like to save for a special occasion. Alex, Jeremie and Naquan are great at asking what you would like or what you are pairing and offering suggestions in your budget. The chocolates are very good and many of them are gluten-free so they make great gifts! If you are passionate about wine or want to learn more - check out this local business.

Soooo many wines choices. The employees are very knowledgeable and helpful. I've been to a few wine tastings and they are fun. Now... the chocolate shop inside petit Philippe is called 20 degrees... they have the best chocolates in Charlotte. I often pick up a mixed box and indulge.

Ooh la la loved!!!! What's better than wine & chocolate??? Nothing I can think of. And it's all right here. In a lovely setting made to sit back , relax and savor. Very extensive selection of both wine and chocolate. Creative flavor combos on the chocolate, very well thought out because they really pair well with the wines. I was on vaca so I wanted something special, I got a Spanish sparkling rose and a pink champagne ganache & a black forest ganache, both went beautifully with the wine. A really special place, nice service, real attention to detail in the way the chocolates are decorated to the total atmosphere overall. I'd love to go back when I'm in town again.

Updating my review for Petit Phillipe. Since my last review about 2 years ago, I have fallen even more in love with this place!! Everyone is so friendly and knowledgable!Make sure to get on their email list. Each week they send out the winery they are featuring in the flight for the week. They explain the winery, owner, story, and type of wines. Additionally they give the breakdown of the wine flight. We almost always do the wine flight. Additionally they send out wine dinners all the time. They usually partner with Lumiere. We are actually signed up for one next week!!This place continues to be on one of my top favorite places in the city list. Awesome local owners that really care about giving you a great wine experience!

The truffles are amazing! I can't wait to go back and try some wine too! Very friendly staff. Nice spot.
