Walked in to only two tables with customers. There were three women and none of them sat us. The one girl finally came back and seated us in a booth that was too small for me to get in. Moved to a table. Finally ordered our food after some time. Salads were decent. That was the only thing. Our food took time to come out and in between, there was arguing in the kitchen. Some girl yelling the F bomb several times. I ordered the fettucini alfredo. It came with the salad and a garlic bread. The garlic bread was dry and tasted burnt. The alfredo sauce had no flavor. Just a white, bechemel sauce. Tried to add parmesan sprinkled on but it didn't help. No flavor. I couldn't eat. Hubby had the Penne Pasta. His dish came out with fettucine noodles. Server took it back and said the cook said it was penne. He showed her a photo of penne but tried to eat it. His noodles were too mushy and the sauce didn't have taste either. So the server said she would take off the entrees. She charged us for the salads, which was okay, but we didn't eat the garlic bread and they charged us $4 a piece for it and it was burnt. So the dishes were $13.95 and we ended paying $10 each for food we didn't eat. Asked for manager but the girl said he was not there. NO ONE in charge. My sister had the fried chicken and she said the chicken was dried out. I do not recommend this place.

Came here with my boyfriend to grab lunch before going boating. We were seated fairly quickly, although it took around 15 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us. After that the service was great! He ordered the Cowboy Chicken sandwich and his only complaint was that the chicken was dry, everything else was good. I got the Big Bad Pickle burger and it was delicious, by far some of the best ranch I've ever had. Would definitely recommend the cookies up front :) Next time we come to Morrow Mountain we will definitely be back!

.5Friendly staff. New cook, but since this was our first visit it didn't matter much.First I hardly see people there even during "rush" times. Huge menus, which always concerns me if there isn't much turnover. Hubby had salmon cakes w/ greens and green beans. The salmon was a whitish grey color, I always thought salmon was pink. The green beans were from a can, not fresh and very mushy, the collards were so heavily salted almost inedible.He thought his meal was just OKI had chicken tenders and fries with a side salad. The salad is fresh and crisp, the chicken was cooked thru and served hot. Fries were frozen ripple fries and tasted like it. Unfortunately this is another one and done.

Along the line of chain eateries on 24/27 in Albemarle is the Parkway House Family Restaurant, a local chain with only a few locations.Bright and colorful walls, with a clever chalk wall near the entrance with daily specials on them. I went for lunch and immediately got the aroma of waffles baking for someone's late breakfast order.I ordered the veal parmigiana, which included a side of spaghetti and garlic bread. Veal parmigiana was served fresh from the oven with the sauce still bubbling. Spaghetti was just right, not overcooked or wet from being in a holding pan and with a nice thick sauce. Veal was a good portion and nice flavor. Was really impressed with the garlic bread, that the server told me comes from a local bakery. .A nice alternative to the chain restaurants in the area.

Food was mediocre at best. Service was less than helpful. We had to get up and request our own refills. Sandwiches were made with lunch meat. Appetizers were pre-made bagged store bought stuff. Would have been okay, but prices didn't reflect quality. First and last time going here.

Stopped to eat on a Monday afternoon. Three adults. Hardly anyone in the restaurant. Two waitresses walking around cleaning but neither waited on us. After 15 minutes we went to a chain restaurant next door

I've been here a few times but this is first time for lunch, the service was friendly and prompt. Food was delicious!!! Some prices are a bit higher but worth it for the quality.

, , , Stopped by on a Friday around 10:15 am. Waited to be sat as the sign said. Waited, waited, waited. It was not busy and I saw 3 employees working the floor..but evidently my husband and I are invisible. So we left. W our business is appreciated and are at least acknowledged. In case nobody has not told you, a simple "Hi, someone will be with you shortly" goes a long way. Don't know what has happened to this place
