Park Road Soda Shoppe - Kannapolis

We were in the area and decided to try a new place for lunch and stumbled across this place, took a look at the menu online and decided to give it a go! We walked in and were instantly transported back in time. This cute diner style restaurant offered a ton of nostalgia for sure with the red booths and high top tables that each had the ketchup and mustard squeeze bottles. You walk in seat yourself and they come and take your order. The staff were kind and checked in on us often. The menu is pretty simple but offers lots of options. Although, i found it quite odd that on the kids menu they don't offer a burger. My son ordered a cheeseburger and added bacon. For his side he decided on chili cheese fries. He really enjoyed his meal! I got to taste the chili cheese fries and those were really good! For my order, I went with a cheeseburger, a chili dog and onion rings. In my opinion everything was just okay, the onion rings lacked flavor and I did not enjoy those at all. I think if we're ever in the area I'd stop back in and try something different, but def getting some chili cheese fries!

Removed one star due to finding a hair on my fried okra the last time I went there. Every other time has been great though.

Great food, great service. Reasonable prices. My husband loves it! Just wish they were open on Mondays! Good Christian folks.

I mean what's not to love about a throwback soda shop? Park Road Soda Shoppe has all the standard diner fair. All the food came out fresh and hot. Milkshakes, thicken and creamy. And the lemonade is freshly squeezed. There's plenty of seating for large and small groups. If you have questions the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Totally recommend you give them a try.

Local favorite!! This place has some great comfort food options. I ordered the hamburger steak plate! This plate comes with fried onion rings on top. They aren't pictured bc they were so good that I ate them before I got home. I added my own grilled onions to the steak with a little A1 sauce.The sides were awesome! Their fried okra didn't disappoint and the potato salad had some of the best flavors I've ever tasted!Disclaimer: They offer their potato salad grilled! I didn't get mine grilled this time but I'll have to try it next time. The service was great too! Our order was ready for pick up after only 15mins! Overall Park Rd Soda Shoppe is an adorable diner with a retro vibe. Check this place out if you are in the area.

This was our first time visiting and we are so glad we stumbled upon it. The service was amazing & we felt welcomed from the start. We appreciated the outdoor seating, the menu has many options (all made in house!), & the prices weren't bad at all. Our food took about 15-20 minutes to arrive (not too bad considering it was being cooked right then) and it all tasted amazing. I recommend the grilled chicken sandwich & the hot fudge sundae w/brownie. Delicious! We will definitely be returning!

I believe this is a really good idea, although I do not like much of the food on the menu. I am not picky but its mostly standard fair. The chili is not really good at all and most of the time, the fried pickles are overdone. My wife loves the tuna salad but I cannot get excited by going here. I will eat their baby club and I like the option of putting syrup in the coke, but if I had my choice, this would not be my first choice.The main benefit about this location (Kannapolis) as I live less then 5 minutes away from it.

We were looking for a nostalgic, old Sokol place to take the kids for lunch and I stumbled upon Park Road Soda Shoppe. It seemed kid friendly enough from the reviews but once we arrived five deep and had to seat ourselves with all eyes on us it didn't seem quite so friendly. There were a lot of older people inside who were enjoying ice cream and shakes, but I think they were enjoying staring at us much more than the desserts in front of them. The waitress were friendly which was the reason we stayed and ordered, but it was a little cold inside and not just from the air conditioning, so we decided to dine outside. Once our food arrived so did the pesky flys and they were relentless! We ended up wrapping our subpar food and eating in the car. Needless to say we won't be returning to Park Road Soda Shoppe anytime soon.

Don't forget to try the desserts! The food and service is amazing! A great place to eat lunch for sure!
