Mixologist Richard made this such a memorable visit. From cocktail recommendations to photo taking and just overall making sure we had a great time!We ordered calamari as a starter and it was delicious. I love when peppers are friend with the calamari, gives it such nice flavor. They were perfectly crispy too. I ordered a Caesar salad with salmon for my entree and that was very tasty too. The vibes in here are super chill. It's a perfect spot for a date night or girls night. The pace is a nice size but it's also intimate. And I love the decor.

Oh goodness, where to start...My best friends and I made a reservation here earlier in the day for 8:15pm. When we arrived there was someone ahead of us who was waiting to be seated as well. She stated that she had been standing and waiting for someone to greet her and to be seated for over 10 minutes. She also stated that the manager walked by multiple times and neither greeted nor helped her. I finally flagged down a waitress for assistance and she stopped to help the women in front of me and our group, based off that I could tell they were very much understaffed which was surprising because it was a Saturday night. Once seated we all order the Love Flight (SUPER nasty please don't order), cocktails, and food. Now our waitress whose name i forgot but it started with an "N" was super nice and friendly she was the only great thing that night. Our food came out first and threw us off because they are supposed to come out after drinks. The drinks took FOREVER to get to us even though we could see them at the bar just sitting there which was annoying because they weren't as cold when they got to us and one of my friend's drinks was never made. The food is the only reason they get 2 stars, it was very delicious and came out at a good time for us and other tables that were able to be serviced. Now my friend's salmon was very undercooked, and she asked for it to be cooked more and it took a long time for that too. But in the end, she still enjoyed the salmon salad.When eating and finally able to get our drinks, i noticed the line at the hostess table was getting ridiculously long because again no one was up there to help. Finally, the manager Andrew (the same one who walked past the lady ahead of us) helped out and started seating the people in the line. But now the issue with that is he was seating people, but they weren't being serviced due to short staff. I saw them get food but no drinks which is good because the drinks at the bar take forever. One table of 4 walked out after sitting there with no service for 30 minutes. I was nosey and asked and they said they are never coming back. Another table of 6 asked for the same manager to come over because there was something in their pasta and showed it to him, again i was nosey.I don't expect to ever be back to PARA because of the numerous issues. It is very disappointing because they are all over social media like Tik ToK and IG with great reviews but in person does not live up to the hype at all!

This spot has an amazing atmosphere, a fantastic location South End, and an outstanding staff--definitely worth checking out. We stopped in for drinks and ended up ordering every appetizer on the menu, and I have no regrets. Since we made late reservations, patio seating was our only option, but with heaters overhead and pleasant weather, it turned out to be perfect. The place was packed inside and out, a clear sign that it's a local favorite. It was my first visit, but I'm already looking forward to booking another reservation soon!

An unforgettable experience at Para!If you have never been to PARA, seriously....RUN....don't walk! It's located in the Southend neighborhood of Charlotte and you are guaranteed to have an amazingly memorable time dining here! Inside, you'll find a chic atmosphere with very modern touches. The food is phenomenally good, with a variety of options to choose from. Make sure to try the calamari as an appetizer, the perfectly seasoned lambs chops as your main, and a side of well-seasoned brussels! The drinks were also amazing! I'm an Old Fashioned guy and they have a variety of them - both regular and two versions with tequila! They do not miss!A major highlight was talking to their amazing Mixologist, Richard, who has been featured in Charlotte's Axios. He's the reason the drinks are ! Make the stop at PARA today and go on an unforgettable dining journey!

We came during charlotte restaurant week ! I ordered the salmon Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes potato's and crème brûlée cheesecake and crab Rangoon buns !! Soooo good! It was a 3 course meal and all of my options were amazing! Service and ambiance are always top tier

The food at Para never disappoints! I've been to Para a few times as they regularly tweak their menu to try out new items. This visit was because the restaurant was part of the Charlotte Queens Feast restaurant week. I had the crab Rangoon bao buns that hit every time, the short rib with mashed potatoes, and the strawberry shortcake. The vibe of the restaurant is great. It's got a moody feel with great music playing.

A girl friend & I went to Para last night for restaurant week. Ambiance, service, food, drinks all hit the mark. It's so cozy & intimate in the resturant. Our server was very kind & knowledgable of the menu and prompt with the service. I got the Caesar salad for first course & salmon with brussel sprouts and mash potatoes for entree - delicious and the the portion size was perfect even with the Caesar salad.. I am eating leftovers as I type this. Drinks were good! A little on the pricier side $15-18 but well made. The 20 percent gratuity automatically added to the bill per person is a little odd- as you expect that with large parties but I would've tipped 20 percent regardless because we did have a great server. Will be back and hope we get the same server

Para is a beautiful space! Music is at a decent level where you can still hear who you are with. We had a reservation and arrived a smidge early and waited a bit before being seated. I can say the seats are a little close together but not awful. Our waitress also had a large party so probably wasn't attentive as she should have been. Food was pretty good but a little bit greasy. My drink was great! I had a drink with mezcal. It's a great date spot or night out with your girls!

Went here for the first time during Queen's Feast. Immediately loved that they allowed you to swap dessert for a cocktail instead. The restaurant itself is intimate and the decor is very warm and cozy inside. I need to know who created the playlist because absolute great vibes. Now for the food - delicious. Honestly the jerk chicken bites might have been my favorite. The spicy rigatoni was definitely spicy and the short rib even had a little kick, but all was flavorful. My waitress was extremely friendly and made great recos. Read the menu fine print and love that they are offering to give you 15% off your next visit if you bring your restaurant week receipt. I will definitely be back to try out the full menu!

I really enjoyed this place! I was visiting a friend in Charlotte, and this place was what she recommended we go to and get some food. We went around 10pm or 11pm, and the music was very very loud, but honestly we did not mind at all because we were really enjoying it. Also, we sat outside on the patio, so it wasn't as loud out there. Our server was great at giving recommendations for drinks and food. I asked if they had non-alcoholic cocktails, and she recommended an amazing strawberry one. I ordered the caesar salad with salmon and it was so good. They have great salmon - I would recommend it. Bar food is usually not so great every time but this place is the exception. I did not try any of their other things, but hopefully I am back in Charlotte soon so I can visit again.
